HB ceiling fan is getting slower and slower bi the day

Solid-state controls change the level of power in the fan motor to control the speed of the fan. For instance, when you switch from medium to high on a solid-state fan, the speed control mechanism increases the power of the motor. Solid-state controls are generally equipped in fans with controls that have predetermined settings, such as low, medium and high. The solid state device in or around the fan motor could be defective and in need of replacement. https://www.hunker.com/12003281/how-does-a-ceiling-fan-speed-control-work

Remote control does not respond

If the case is not damaged, remove and re install the batteries. That generally fixes problems like this. If not you will have to replace it.

Light does not stay on seems to be on a timer and

Many fans with remote will have two seperate "lights" buttons on the remote. One is to actually use the lights, the other is a delay light used for when leaving the room when it is dark, that automaticly turns off the lights after a delay. It appears that Hampton bay tried simplifying the light, delay light, and dimmer functions all into a single button on most of their remotes, without offering any sort of "owners manual" to explain the functions and operation of these features. I tried to do some research for a user's manual, but find it disturbing that Hampton Bay does not feel a need to include usage information in the manual for your model of fan. I would suggest trying different combinations of double-pressing the light button, pressing and holding, and so forth, until something seems to work. On many fans with wireless remote, when the delay feature is activated, you can almost hear a small audible sound (I'm not sure how to describe it, really) every second or two, while it counts down before turning off. This could be helpful while working out the neccessary procedure, at least to know that it is in the incorrect lighting mode. Also, most Hamilton Bay remote light switchs look a bit wide, as if they may have two or three button under the rubber button pad. Intuitively, I would guess that the left and right parts of the button would likely be for the dimmer features, so first try pressing, double-pressing, and holding the button in it's middle. Please let me know if we figure something out, so that it may help others who own similar models of cieling fans. Also, if not too inconvenient, could you post a photo of the remote so that we can figure out what type it is? Hamilton Bay seems to have three different remotes used for Reddington III fans, depending on included features.

II[ have a Hampton Bay 53" fan with a lifetime warranty that has quit working -6 months ago I contacted customer support and they sent me a relay which I installed to no avail. What is my next step ?

Take it back to Home Depot with your receipt & don't buy a store brand fan.Don't buy the Hunter fans in there either as they are only made for them...

My ceiling fan has two pull chains The pull chain

You will need to replace the pull cord switch. It is inexpensive. You will need to open up the fixture and reemove the old one. Usually it is held on with a nut. If you are not sure of what switch to buy, take out the old one and bring it to a hardware store. Make sure the power is off. Cut the two line to the old switch and splice in the new switch with wire nuts, also use some electrical tape to insulate the connection. Reinstall the nut and close up the fixture. Good luck.

The Hampton Bay ceiling fan

Welcome to FixYa.

In most cases, the remote unit is going bad. The most common problem for remote control is that the tiny flexible metal switch under the keypad is damage (not flexible anymore) or broken. In some cases, the board of the remote unit might be failing already.

My best advise is to purchase a new remote unit since the flexible metal switch is very hard to find because the manufacturers of these kinds of products does not manufacture those kinds of parts.

You can purchase the remote control unit in your local electronic shop.
If there is non available, you can use a universal remote control which you can purchase online at Amazon http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001I1M95E/ref=as_li_qf_sp_asin_il_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=securetransaction-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=B001I1M95E

I hope this information saves you time and money in looking for answers that do not matter.

I have a Hampton Bay

You might check to see if the blue wire is connected on top in the canopy and check if you have voltage coming out to your light kit at the wire connection with a meter. Careful with the power.

My Redington IV ceiling fan

It's possible the fan is in reverse and some fans will not on function faster or lower speeds, check for a switch on the side of the fan just above the blades.

I just replaced my bulbs

Your remote control I would assume includes a dimmer for the light. CFL bulbs are not compatible with dimmers. If it has a dimmer, you must use incandescent bulbs.
