ok go to the brothers icon and double click on it run setup, they have a section for it after you install new cartridge. this will set it . might read "install new cartridge" as a caption
to the machine it doesnt know the cyan was replaced and still reads empty

When I print, the pages are smudged with ink. What should I do?
Description: - If smudged stains appear at the top center of the printed page:

• Make sure the paper is not too thick or curled.
  Also, verify that the appropriate paper is being used and that the paper type set in the machine matches the media used.
• Make sure the paper is not curled when you print on the back side of the paper with the Print Odd Pages and Print Even Pages settings.

Don't worry. you just have to install the driver for the same.... If you have already installed the driver then make sure that the PC and printer is in the same workgroup..... Still you are not able to fine the printer then in the web browser (of PC in which you wanna to install the network printer) type the ip address of the PC (to which printer is connected) then you will get some options in that one option is "printer", click on that....

There is a specific order in which you have to install the printer. Do not plug in the Brother MFC until the installation software asks you to do so. If you have the software installed. Uninstall it, unplug the printer, and reboot. Then run the installation again, and plug in the printer when asked by the installation guide.

it sounds like your office is on a domain . you will need to join that domain in order to print to your offices printer. locate the name of the domain and join the domain in order to print to the printer. make sure that the printer is you default printer.
