Ge profile counter dept refrigerator door opens too far and hits the wall. Also does not self close as once did.

Put a level on the top of the unit. Side to side needs to be level. Front to back has to be canted to the rear by about 1/4 bubble. If that is good you need to adjust the hinges.

Mitsubishi MR 560X. Top shelf of freezer not freezing food. Vents have been icing up. Fridge appears to be running too warm, around 11degrees Celsius. I have turned off fridge and defrosted it for 24

Hi, You have lot your evaporator fan motor in the freezer that caused no air to circulate, this would also effect the refer section too. P# WR60X10185 if you need it, check to see if the fan remains running on high speed even when the freezer door is open for 3-5 minutes. Good Luck I’m happy to help further over the phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/gere_bf68e6055dd61249

Ice at bottom of side by side refrigerator

Hi, You are looking for the water source, two possible places to look. Look around the water filter and the glass shelves for water, also check the water tank behind the crispers, as I have seen them crack in the past. Good luck, hit me up if you need more information. I have a GE side by side model#GSS25KGMD It makes ice but then freezes into solid blocks which does not allow the despensing screw to turn.

Check the heater or the bimetal thermostat or at last the motor that turns the dispenser.

LG# LMV18088 Micro wave door handlebroke off.

Depending on what piece of it that was damaged, repair could be possible. otherwise, if you'd rather not replace the appliance, The best recommendation is, order another one. Many people attempt to repair things like that with glue, and all of that space age stuff, which never works or last's long, because it's not made for that. 90% of repair failure is directly related to people taking short cuts to nowhere!

Water dispenser keeps freezing GE Refrigerator

If this is a newer model GE side by side refrigerator, this is not uncommon. what you can do to check to see what is going wrong, remove the toe plate at the bottom front of the unit. Under the freezer door, you will see a white plastic water line, with an inline connector about 4-5" from where the line comes out the bottom of the door. this is normally a blue push-in type connector. On this connector, you will see two white sleeves on either side, push in on this sleeve while pulling the corresponding water line section out of the connector, if you squeeze the sleeve enough, the water line will slip right out. Place a towel on the floor, make sure both ends are on top of towel. Now, breifly actuate your water dispenser trigger, see if water comes out the exposed water line. If water comes out, your entire water dispenser system is OK, but, the water line in the freezer door is frozen, in which case the only way to melt it, is to turn the unit off, open the freezer door, and blow a fan for a few hours, to melt the ice INSIDE the door. You could also buy a new door, but that is very costly.
If no water comes out the exposed water line, then either your water filter is clogged, or you have a bad water valve solenoid

.fresh produce is freezing and temp set at 2. what do I need to replace/check

Hi Robert,I would suggest 2 degrees is too low. Try setting it to 5 and maybe monitor for a few hours. If you feel the produce should be slightly cooler then reduce to 4 degrees. Fresh produce shouldn't be any cooler than this.I hope this helpsAndy

Howling noise

I found this website about 2 weeks ago. I and read the postings about replacing the control panel. I own the GSS22SGRF SS. This thing was driving me and my wife absolutely insane. We live in a smaller house and the howling noise was so bad we could hear it over the TV at normal volumes. I would have to crank the surround sound to not hear it. They are not kidding when they say it just gets louder. Anyway a year after it has been doing it or about 10 days ago when I ordered the control board the refrigerator stopped dispensing water and ice along with making a clicking sound. When I opened the door the digital temperature setting displays would turn off and on in succession with the clicking noise. I was like great, I just dropped $100 dollars on this control panel and 2 other things are now going wrong with my fridge.
Anyway I get the part on Wednesday and waited for my dad to come over and help me out just in case. We pull out the fridge and I am not kidding but it only took about 10-15 minutes to swap out the panels. All of the wires on this model come with connectors so we didn't have to cut 1 wire, all you had to do was plug them in and set the ground. I could have done it myself, too easy. We plug the thing back in, put it into position and BAM!!! everything is fixed. The water and ice machine are back to normal, not one howling or clicking sound for over 24 hours now. Best $100 I have spent in a while. Would have costed me a $100 just to have someone come out and look at it. I will never buy a GE refrigerator again based on the customer service I got when I called in but if it wasn't for this post I guess I would be out of pocket another $1900 because I was about a day away from throwing this thing in the trash!!!! GE NEEDS TO REALIZE THAT IF THIS PROBLEM IS HAPPENING THIS OFTEN TO STEP UP AND AT LEAST SUPPLY THE REPLACEMENT PART. I GUESS THEY HAVEN'T FIGURED OUT THAT THIS MIGHT NOT COST THEM RIGHT NOW BUT IT WILL COST THEM AT LEAST ONE PURCHASE IN THE FUTURE.
