Ice buildup from water feeding the ice maker

Are you certain that the ice build-up is actually originating from the water flow into the icemaker? If ice is built-up on the rear freezer panel, then your problem is more than likely a defrost component issue (defrost thermostat or defrost heater(s). If the ice is built-up on the side wall of the freezer near the icemaker, then water is probably being diverted inside the water inlet tubing that goes into the icemaker. This diversion is usually caused by an accumulation of ice inside the water inlet tubing. You will probably need to remove the icemaker in order to glance inside the water inlet tubing to see if ice is in fact inside the tubing. If so, take a screw driver or other object that won't puncture the tubing and remove the ice.

Contact an appliance service company if the ice is on the rear freezer panel.

The unit stopped dispensing water, makes clicking nose

If you would like to do this yourself and save the fee of a service tech I ill tell you the motherboard and compressor start components have been affected. Just replacing the board is not always the answer. These refrigerators are sensitive to electrical surge, fan failure, compressor start component failure and eliminating the cause is the best and less expensive way to approach this, I will return later and discuss parts and I do need you to confirm your model is the GSH25JFR, Thanks, Sea Breeze

Our handle is loose at the bottom of our

If you have not figured out how to get the handles off, I am going to try and walk you thru it. First look at this diagram to get an idea of what you are doing. http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/getSubComp.pd?modelNumber=GSH25JFRGWW&productCategoryId=0165000&brandId=0432&brandDescription=GE&modelName=REFRIGERATOR-R-SERIES&diagramPageId=00002&componentDescription=FRESH%20FOOD%20DOOR&documentId=G0503243&blt=06
Part location #6 and #121 slide off. Use your palm and press it flat against #6 part of handle top like you are gonna push it thru the door. While pushing in push up and it will hopefully slide up and off revealing the screws that secure the handle. If need be use a butter knife to help you pry it off. Find the gaps in the handle for the top sleeve(#6) and bottom sleeve (#121) and lay the knife horizontaly in the gap cutting side in the groove. Pry up or down on the handle and it should push the sleeve up. Same rules apply to both sleeves one is just longer than the other. If you find one of the mounting screws cannot be simply tightened and is stripped, pick up some thread lock from an auto parts or home improvement store to help secure it better. Hope this helps.

My feezer part is working but the fridge side is

Sounds like your damper door is not opening. At the top left side of the freshfood compartment you will have a vent or a box like vent. inside is a Motor that opens and closes a door to let air in from the freezer.

The reason the bottom is still cold is because of your return vent behind the crisper at the bottom is letting in cold air and should be returning the air to the freezer.

There could be a many things rong. your refrigerator has a controlboard, this control is reading your temp switch and sensors in the refrigerator that determins when power is sent to the damper door.

Any of those components could be bad.

Most common is the damper door asembly & sensor.

I think yours will come in a kit.

Note : GSH25JFR is not the full model number and you will need to get it from your tag off of your machine. Normaly located in the top of the fresh food area.

Our water dispenser on our side by side is not

We researched this problem for our GE, & it's common on the model GSH25JFR. When the insulation for the door was being applied they did not tape down the tubing for the water. The thicker insulation pushes the tube right up against the ice maker causing it to freeze. You'll need to get a new left side door from GE to solve the problem.

No water/ice, loud clicking from back side

In this case it points to the motherboard. Just make sure that both fans are working properly before changing the board, I will assit you through the whole job if you want and possibly find the less priced board for your model. Unplug refrigerator and pull away from wall. Then take cover over the motherboard off and examine both sides for signs of heat or burn damage. (You may Need to disconnect pin plug connectors to see the back side). Many times some areas of the board will desolder themselfs from the heat. I will be right back with a photo, part numbers and a link, Thanks, Sea Breeze

Lower Veggie drawer has an

There is an opening between the drawers and the freezer through which the air is circulated back to the freezer. If the vent is stopped up with ice or something it may be causing the ice issue or if the freezer fan isn't working.

The water dispenser reservoir is located behind the drawers and it can freeze for the same reasons and cause the ice build up.

Freezer fan stopped working, water & ice dispenser stopped workin

these fan motors are usually good for 12-15 years, but occasionally one goes bad prematurely. IT NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. Some people try to reoil the bearings, but this is temporary and not worth the effort. The ice maker not working is only a consequence of the cold not being distributed by the fan not working. There are generic replacements that usually work well and cost $30 or less, whereas the GE replacement may cost $50-80.

The water and ice coming through the filter is

Good day,
First thing is to check the supply line.
Shut the house down, at the valve located by the meter.
Take a bucket, and place a drinking glass in the middle.
Have someone turn the valve on for a 15 second count.
Take the full glass, place it in the fresh food compartment for one hour and then do a taste test.
If bad, the supply source is your problem and should be replaced.
If you change the supply line, make sure the tap in is not at the bottom of the house line if it is a horizontal line.
Tap in should be either at the 3 o'clock or 9 o'clock position, with the 12 o'clock position being ideal., if possible. (do not connect to a hot water line).
As well, the tap in valve should be new.
If no luck, I would suggest you replace the dual water valve located on the back rear of the machine.
You will need to activate the water dispenser for a minimum of 12 glasses to flush the total system
clean.

Water dispenser not working. Ice dispenser works

There should be a water filter inside the water lines to the water spout. This filter could be clogged, or the water lines themselves may still be somewhat frozen and not allowing flow to the dispenser itself.
You can also test the power to the dispensor to make sure it is drawing water. Can you hear the pump trying to pump water to dispenser? The water valve should also be opening. You can test power to the valve that draws in water from the external water lines.

Refridge and freezer or bot lot working

Until someone can check a few things I need you to pull away from wall and unplug and then quickly feel the top of the compressor. If too hot to keep hand there . I will need to consider that a fan is stopping or a start component is defective. What ever the case it must have someone help locate the cause first. If bad fan and change board the bad fan will again damage the new board. I'm here if you would like my help. Let me know, Thanks Sea Breeze
