This is not going to be easy. Check the wiring in the wall to look for the third wire. If they did not run one, you have to run new wire to the furnace and thermostat. If they stapled that wire to the walls inside studs, then it is going to be even harder to run the new wire. Once you run that new wire then you have to locate the connection in the furnace that has the common (c) wire for the transformer. Check you tube to see if the have any how to video.

It's doing whats it is supposed to do and that's regulating the ambient temperature to your set temp.

Is there also an on/off switch for the fan on the furnace itself? If so check it make sure its set to on. Also check the on/off contacts of the switch on the t/stat to make sure its working.

Press the FAN & the up arrow @ the same time to get into installation programming. Follow the set up numbers correlating to options in the install instructions...Make sure it is programmed for heat pump & if you have Auxillary heat. Hit Next until you get to the reversing valve position O or B ( reversing valve energized in a call for heat or cool) and switch it to the opposite of what is in the current program. Hit Done & you should be good. Hope that helps.

The WiFi has to be on. to get to the main programming, press fan & the up arrow @ the same time for about 5 seconds. Now that you are in the programming mode, you need to scroll through to, I believe level 39 and turn it ON. This will enable the WiFi. Then press done to get out of programming mode. Your thermostat should start searching now as long as there is WiFi to connect to. Then you need to register the stat. Hope that helps.

Unfortunately, I know what your talking about...have several in remote Drs. offices, (one in my home), & they all click when calling for heat, cool, or fan. Other than that, it is a great thermostat with easy to use free apps.

There is a battery inside the thermostat. No one seems to know about this battery. If the battery is dead thermostat won't work. Pop thermostat apart, test battery and replace.battery. I am not 100% sure this is your problem, for your thermostat, but I have come across this problem before. Good Luck Friend.

What type of system do you have?
If you have a heat pump with a reversing valve you will need to set the thermostat settings for a heat pump. Or it can also be the wiring. Check your setting on the thermostat.

The TH8320U1016 thermostat has 2 terminal pins "S1 and S2" that are the ones that are connected to your outdoor sensor, but the TH9320WF003 it doesn't have the "S1 and S2" terminal pins, so I would recommend you the TH6320WF2003 this thermostat is compatible with all system types and with outdoor sensors terminal pins "S1 and S2".

Did you set the minimum and maximum settings on the thermostat?
When they come new the settings are set to about the same temperature.
One must set the upper and lower temperatures manually....

Geoff
