I do not think it was intended to let user to disassemble and reassemble the unit. But if you are patient and careful, you can probably do it with great caution because it is a heating device. You do want to do anything wrong to cause fire if you damage anything.
MY HEATER FELL OER BACKWARD
Just needs a little TLC: We just bought this heater at Goodwill and it's still in very good condition. The fan wasn't working either, but there was definitely heat. So we took it home and took it apart just to the point where we could give the fan a good q-tip/tweezers cleaning (lots of dust was in there) and then used Penzoil motor high temp grease via a toothpick on the spinning fan axle and voila! The fan works now and doesn't make anymore noise either. Just a note: this is a tedious task that requires an extra hand to help hold things in place since you can't take the fan out completely.
Heater Shuts off at 1500 Watts
Could be a bad element if the heater does not run at all at 1500w.
If it runs a little before stopping, things could just be dirty causing the thermal sensor to shut it off. A good cleaning is needed in that case.
