I bought two Beacon

It may not be the motors making the noise, but the blade irons that are attached to the motor are loose and are rubbing the housing.

To confirm this, turn the fans OFF. When the blades stop turning, use a step ladder to reach the fan blades and the blade irons. Using a Phillips head screw driver, attempt to tighten each blade iron screw (2 in each iron), that screws into the fan motor spindle. I suspect, you'll find one or more loose. Especially if, the lock washer wasn't installed on each screw.

Hope this helps you solve the problem. If it doesn't, contact Hunter per the instructions in your Owners Manual. As there is a slim chance that there is a manufacturer's defect involved.

How do you replace the

The refractory firebrick panels are generally held in place by metal clips at the top of each panel. The bottom portion fits into an 'L' bracket. Once the tab(s) are removed, you can lift the panel up and out and replace the old or damage one with the new one. Before removing the old one, measure it, to make sure you have the correct replacement size.

Hope this helped you to solve the problem.

I need a new globe

You can locate parts at hunterfan.com or call for parts at (901) 248-3237 This is the
technical service number given to me by the hunter rep a few years ago.

If you need a generic globe, they are available at home depot and lowes in the
replacement glass section "Angelo Glass"
All you need to do is measure the diameter of the
"fitter". This is the metal part the glass fits into and holds it, usually with 3 thumbscrews.

Have the wiring checked by an electrician. Your wiring may be aluminum and occasionally the wire nuts (which are special for this type wiring) will fail. They are purple in color. Also check the wattage of the bulbs, If you have exceeded the wattage rating of the fan it will heat the rubber bands around the glass ware excessively.

I have a ceiling fan

There is a small relay in the ceiling fan causing this noise, try turning off all power to the ceiling fan and allow it to set for a couple of minutes. Turn it back on and see if it goes away. If it does great. if not, it may not be worth the repair cost but it can be fix by an appliance tech.
