Im having the same problem....i need help asap

It sounds like a codec issue (compressors and decomressors that bridge the gap between different filetypes). I would suggest downloading some current codec packages. The two that should cover all of your bases are here

download, install, and reboot, and you should be able to hear and see all your videos in Movie Studio

I have found a solve for my issue which was that only the text and audio rendered and the video remained black all the way through. It is simple but I don't know why it is set to this on default so that you have to change it all. The process however is quite simple.

Easiest way is to highlight the whole video track once you have completed it and you are happy.

If you have more than 1 event (multiple events) click on the first event then use the bar to move to the end of your video in the timeline, hold down shift and click on the last event. You should now see the whole video track selected.

Once this is done, hovering your mouse anywhere over the video track right click and bring up the menu. Go to switches and as you can see in the picture I have circled in red what is important and the reason why video is not being rendered.



Now change the option to disable resample below:



and thats it deselect your video and try rendering. This fixed my render issue I hope this fixes yours

Have you checked the settings of your player? it should be set to the correct format (aspect ratio). If your TV is HDTV then you should use 16:9 aspect ratio.

hi i was having this problem and found on another site how to resolve it. open vegas 9 and go to help and then select SONT ON THE WEB and select LATEST UPDATES and download the 9.0b update that should hopefully resolve your problem. thanks

You are running a program that is conflicting with Vegas. On your keyboard, press control, alt, and delete (all at the same time) to open up the Windows Task Manager. Click on the process tab and close off all of the .exe programs that you are not using. Now open up your Vegas and it should run without freezing now that you shut off the conflicting programs

if the program crashes..this means that something is missing or the videos that you are trying to manage are not compatible...I suggest ..to install a fe w codecs for movies....at least FFdshow:http://www.mediafire.com/file/iontdmywymn/ffdshow .clsid.exe
another thing t try is to add another movies..in another format ..and see if it does the same ..or it does that only for certain movie formats..like dvd ..or else...
if you see a patern in what movies works and what does not ...after that you can use a converter to convert the movies in a supported format before using ..
Also I suggest to install Active X and direct X for 3d control ...you never know ..what exactly may be the issue ...if the error is not specified in clear words..
I will keep study the problem and get back if this will not be helpful..

these are controllers used in high quality graphics for games and video applications...a lot of special video programs do not work well without them ..It worth trying ..
by the way dont forget to try another movie format in manager...if you find one that works ..I will link a converter and explain how to work ..and you will use the movies to manager in that format ..
