I have a delonghi des 14 dehumidifier. Usually it goes into pause mode for 3 mins when you first turn it on with the yellow light on and then starts dehumidifieing. It now stays in the pause mode forev

Just fixed this problem with my DES14. Its a fault with the circuit board inside the machine and is very easy to fix, even for a novice. Here is how to do it: 1) Open up the machine by removing the screws in the case. (Make sure it is unplugged!) 2) Locate the circuit board on the side of the unit. 3) At this point you have two options. If you want a unit with full functionality you need to buy a replacement circuit board. I found one on MasterSpares (http://www.mastersparesonline.com/product/index/10147) It costs about 30 pounds. Simply remove the old board and replace it. 4) If you want a working unit for no extra cost (but without the functionality of the humidistat) then remove the rectangular white connector from the circuit board which has red, blue, white and yellow wires entering it. Add an extra wire between the central white wire and the red wire that is adjacent to the yellow. (see photo). 5) Re-assemble the unit. If you have opted for the free option the unit will work when you plug it in and switch it on but will no longer cut in and out with different humidities (or have the annoying warm up period). Thankfully the water overflow cut-out will still work. Hope it works for you! Feel free to ask if you are confused! e7f7dffe-36d6-4801-952c-b67a83a8b06c.jpg

Dehumidifier is not working. It shows a code E9. What does this mean.

Impossible to diagnose without a full make and model, but likely a sensor issue. Your Google search query would be make model error code E9 https://www.google.com/search?q=dehumidifier+code+e9 ..

Keystone kstad70b dehumidifier has stopped draining out the hose. No clogs seen anywhere. What other troubleshooting can I do?

Had an issue with the water draining from the hose. Had worked before and stopped draining all of a sudden. Used a portable air compressor to blow it out. Went to the owners manual and saw that the drain outlet unscrews. Thought the drain hose was internal, taking the bucket off, then removing the drain outlet (2 screws, easy-peasy) Found the soft plastic drain line was kinked enough to stop/slow water from draining clearly. Plastic drain line needed to be heated with a heat gun/hair dryer with a metal file inside to restore the roundness of the tube. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Haier DE45EK-l. Why does E2 code remain after cleaning?

Not familiar with this brand but all of them are fundamentally the same. If you cleaned with water, make sure the unit is thoroughly dry. Especially electronic components. Also..Make sure that the float for the water tank is correctly installed and not jammed. Some manufacturers set a E2 code for water collection tank issues.

Seem like the compressor is not working very hot

Assuming this is the A/C compressor, right? The compressor will be hot to the touch, the question is whether or not it is engagining when turned on, Check to see if the compressor clutch iis working by having someone turn it on and off while listebibg an observing the compressor clutch. Low refrigerant would or should orevent compressor operation to protect the compressorthrough a safety switch. Good luck

I have a danby ddr7009ree

The continuous drain hole (where the hose is inserted) is clogged. To remove the clog, you will need an 18" long plastic Zip Tie (or something similar. But NO wire cost hangers) that will fit into the hole.
Insert it slowly and push until you reach a bend in the tubing. You will need to gingerly work it past this bend until the Zip Tie bottoms out or you run out of Zip Tie. Then, while rotating it, pull it out slowly. As you reach the end of the Zip Tie, be prepared for some water to follow. Also make sure that the drain hose, when reinserted is not crimped and the end is lower than the drain hose connection. The unit does not have a pump. It relies on gravity to drain water through the hose.

Hope this helped you to solve the problem. Please let me know. Thanks.

My Keystone keeps shutting down with an EC code. My filter is clean, there's suffient space around the unit and the temperature is set to 60. What is the problem?

EC usually means that the compressor overheated while trying to move the refrigerant through the compression part of cycle. This usually happens when the refrigerant is low due to a leak in the system. Sometimes, you can spot the problem when ice builds up around the coils near the leak. This is not a user-repairable problem. If your dehumidifier is under warranty, contact the manufacturer. The entire system has to be checked to identify the leak. Then after the leak is fixed, the correct amount of refrigerant appropriate to the model has to be added. (In most places, freon and freon replacements must be handled by a trained professional.) I hope this helps. Cindy Wells
