Welcome to FixYa.

  1. Make sure the batteries are properly charged and is not yet worn out. Re-chargeable batteries of more than 2 years cannot hold the charge properly anymore. This affects the performance of the 2-way radio. The "TALK" functionality of the radio uses more energy than anything else.
  2. Clean the pinholes of the mouth piece and speaker of the radios (both radios). Dirt/dust covering the mouth piece will block the sound from going to the microphone properly. Dirt/dust covering the speaker will prevent the sound from going out properly.
If it does not resolve the problem, the next thing is not resolvebable: You either have a bad volume potentiometer (internal volume device) or your speaker is bad.

Thank you for using FixYa.
Have a great day.'

You will need to look at either the instructions for the "roger" beep or the Call Tones. Not certain which on you are describing.

Check your Frequency, interfernence Code eliminator and Qt filter (if any). These all should match each other on all your radios.

Another issue which will cause a radio to receive but not transmit is a low or bad battery. It takes more energy to transmit, than to receive.

Best regards.

How do i stop my radio from making that bloop

You are either describing a CALL TONE ( The Call Tone obtains others’ attention before you start talking) or the ROGER BEEP (When you turn on this feature, your two-way radio transmits a unique tone when you
finish transmitting. It’s like saying “Roger” or “Over” and lets others know you’re
finished talking.)

To shut off the roger beep, hold in the plus + button while turning the radio on.

The CALL TONE may or may not be a feature of your T5210 radio. I am unable to open the online manual for it to tell for certain. If it does have a CALL TONE feature you would access it by pressing the MENU button until you see a "CA" on the screen along with a number. Using the plus or minus button change the setting to zero, followed by pressing the menu button or the PTT button. The zero setting is equivalent to OFF.

Very low volume on T5210

Sorry to hear of your difficulty. There are a few things which come to mind. First, if you have only two radios, check the good radio to see if anything is plugging or covering the mic hole. Then if the good radio is not the problem, check the bad radio for debris or something covering the speaker holes. If this does not reveal a problem, the next issues are possible, but not resolveable: You either have a bad volume potentiometer (internal volume device) or your speaker is bad.

2 Way Radios not talking to one another

Kids will be kids, and if you also remember back when you were a kid, you probably did the sames things the kids did. (I know I did)
Kids like to play with the knobs, push buttons, turn the dial...Maybe if you checked to see that Both radios are set to the same frequency.
Check the Channel & Interference Eliminator Codes. The dials are located under the battery compartment.
Good Luck, and don't yell at them...........

I have a pair of Motorola MS350 radios. 1 works fine but one does not receive or transmit. I have both radios set up the same.

If your frequency and code are set the same, you have either a battery problem or a radio problem. For a quick battery test, swap the battery pack from the good radio into the one with the problem and see if the problem moves. Then you will know if it is simply the battery. If both settings are identical and the battery swap does not solve the problem, you have a defective radio.

I need help to dismantle a motorola radius sp10 2 way radio

Remove the battery, slip a small screw driver into the slot at the bottom of the radio between the outer housing and the battery tray, gently pry up. If your radio has a pair of battery contacts on the exterior they will come up with the tray. Be gentle, and do not disturb the Mylar ribbon that runs down the back of the tray. Once the tray is removed, using a frame removal tool (shaped like a squared letter U) you slip the tool in the channels on either side of the radio where you removed the battery tray. Then slide the tool upward until it meets the two plastic ears. The tool will slip under the ears and using your tool you can push the component board out the top of the housing. If your radio has an 8-dip-switch private line board, you may want to watch you do not damage or dislodge it in the process.

Can the Motorola factory replace the battery in the H730 headset?

It is possible to have the battery in your Motorola H730 headset replaced, but it would likely need to be done by a third-party repair service as the battery is not typically user-replaceable. Motorola does not offer an official repair service for the H730 headset, so you may need to find a third-party repair service that specializes in repairing Bluetooth headsets. Be aware that third-party repairs may void any remaining warranty on the device. You can also consider purchasing a new headset if you prefer not to have it repaired.
