'F9' keys has a mouse, no mouse looking symbol. sometimes you use the 'Fn' key in conjunction with 'F9' key, sometimes not. Give it a try by itself and use it. If not hold the Fn key and hit F9 and try again.

The only way I know of bypassing the password, is to get a full installation disc of Windows 7 and to install it, overwriting any old data.

If you don't have the motherboard, how can you? The laptop doesn't work!
You can place the hard drive in a caddy and format it with another laptop however.

you need to have windows 7 driver for the webcam you have to down load the drivers from the internet windows xp drivers wont support windows 7 install them

Microsoft will let you download a trail version of office from their site or it was installed by the computer manufacture but after 25 uses, you either buy it or it quits. If you want to buy it, I recommend getting it from a local store then you will have the CD in case you need to reinstall. It costs $125-150. Even though it was on your computer, it was only a trial version.
A better solution is to use a free compatible version from www.OpenOffice.org or use the online free version from M$ at http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/web-apps/. You can set the default file types in OpenOffice to the standard Microsoft types, i.e. .doc, .xls, etc
Another alternative is using Google documents which is a free online document editor. Go to https://docs.google.com/ You will need a google ID which is also free.

You dont need to throw in the towel. This is a hardware problem drivers and all those other thing you've tried works only when the problem is software related. Please contact your retailer or manufacturer who Im sure would be able to assist you.

Check power adapter’s DC plug that connects into the laptop power socket with a multi-meter, the voltage should be slightly higher than the voltage that is printed on the label on the bottom of the adapter. If the voltage is zero or way below the voltage that is printed on the label then the power adapter is faulty and needs to be replaced.
If the adapter is OK then connect it to the laptop and power it up, then look at the power/battery charging LED light and wriggle the power plug in the laptop's power socket. If the power/battery LED light flashes and in a certain position this LED light stays firm, then the power socket is either faulty or it has a dry solder joint where it is connected to the motherboard.
This can be repaired but it requires the laptop to be completely dismantled to get at this power socket and repair. If you cannot DIY then I suggest you get a quote first.

More then likely he jarred the cable loose from the camera either behind the bezel or under the keyboard on the motherboard. If the computer is not recognizing the camera or the software won't start because it cannot find the camera, that is probably why.

Make sure the usb cable between the laptop and printer hasn't come loose. That's usually what happens when when the cable isn't sitting in the slot properly

This is likely to be as a result of your processor over-heating, maybe because of your environment, or because the fan is not cooling the processor properly again. Therefore my suggestion would be for you to unscrew your laptop (If you can do it by yourself), and try to clean, or better still replace your processor fan.
If you cant do it by yourself, you can easily get a technician to do it for you.
I have actually had the same case before, and after doing what I've just told you, it stopped behaving like that.
And you are also still very lucky, because after a while, if the case worsens, the system will not just get stuck, but it will power-off automatically.
Then always make sure that your laptop is in a well ventilated, cool environment and that the environment is free from dusts.

Hi Peter I posted this for another probem I would suggest you follow these steps but as I don't know the model number of your laptop please start here but please make sure you get the correct drivers first, (uninstall the old drivers and programe first then reinstall) : )
