It wont turn on after it shows the phillips screen

Hello :

I recommend you to reset your device to solve the problem .

Take a small object like a paper clip and use the edge to stick into the small reset button on the side next to the usb connection .

Or Try [ power + volume up button & hold for 3 seconds ]

..........................................................................................

Your mp3 player has two types of memory in it. The hard drive (where the music and photos are stored) and the Ram (where the firmware and active files are temporarily hosted).

When you soft reset your GoGear, it flushes the RAM, and restarts the operating system (which is why the contents of the hard drive does not get erased).

You can "hard reset" the device, by formatting the drive and resetting it to factory defaults in the Settings field. This is the closest thing to a "hard reset: that's available with an HD based MP3 player.

I have a Philips Go

Check the specification of your MP3 player to determine thetype of video file format it uses. Most common video files that MP3 players use are, AVI andWMV, there may be others such as FLV, MOV and DivX. If your player cannot play a video then it is anincompatible video file format, then you need to convert that video file to aformat that your MP3 player uses. I listen to the music

There are two things possible.
1) You have defective re chargeable batteries in your GoGear.
2) There is some short circuit because of which the re chargeable cells are discharging.
Either way you should get the system changed. If you want to confirm if its the battery defect or GoGear. Charge the system fully and play music continuously. If the Go Gear plays for about 4 hours with out break---- its not the battery but the charging system.

Computer will not format philips mp3 player

Hello,
Use a pen tip or other sharp object to insert the RESET hole gently on the side of the player and connect it again to your PC.
If this doesn't fix the problem try to use repair function of Philips device manager software.
If you haven't this, there is a link for you to help:

My MP3 player fell in a lake. Is it possible it

I think you need to fully dry it out before you attempt to use it. If the lake was very dirty, it *might* be better to rinse with clean water, but I'm not sure.

If you can partially dismantle it first, that will probably help it to dry.

http://www.labnol.org/gadgets/ipod/drop-mobile-phone-ipod-water-fix-iphone/2707/ suggests putting it in a bowl of rice, which will tend to absorb moisture.

Good luck

Player problem format

Preformat : By Fix-shad0w

#1
Insert your memory card into your computer's reader if you have one. If not, you can purchase a multi-format USB Memory Card reader from Amazon.com or Buy.com
#2
Open up 'My Computer'. You should see it under the list of available drives.
#3
Check its contents first to make sure that you have the right drive.
#4
In 'My Computer', right-click on the drive and choose 'Format'.
#5
Leave all the options as they are and click on 'Start'. This is a non-reversible process so make sure this is what you truly wanted to do in the first place.
#6
Once the process is completed, take the memory card out and insert it into your Digital Camera or any other device. Try to browse to it to make sure it works fine now.
