How do i program my radfius sp50

Take it to a Motorola 2-Way Radio Dealer. They will determine if the channels you want to use can be programmed into that older model radio. The Radius SP50 is no longer supported by Motorola so software and programming cradle are no longer available.

A beep when keyed up can mean a low battery.
1) It is possible your new battery did not take its initial charge, it can take as many as 3 chargings to 'jump start' a new battery. You might try charging the battery an addition 2 full charge cycles.
2) Try the new battery in another SP50 radio to see if it works, or test with a volt meter, if available.
3) Double check the battery is the correct HNN9018 or equivalent NiCd battery. If you are using an after-market battery, check to see if it is a NiCd. If it is a NiMH battery you will need a fast rate charger to charge it up. (On an SP50 the fast rate charger has a blue button on the tray which needs pressed to put it in fast charge mode)
4) This may sound silly, but check to see you installed the battery the correct way. On a Motorola battery the STOP sign would not be visible when installed correctly.
5) If all these items do not solve the 'new battery' problem, you should return the battery to the place of purchase for an exchange.

Best regards.

You might want to talk to the local radio dealers in your area. A repeater system may already be in place to work with your radios. The radios themselves would need to have a channel programmed to match the repeater. If what you have is an annual event, it would likely be relatively inexpensive or free to use an existing repeater.

Best regards.

Looking to build a two way radio system.

You will have to have a vehiclular repeater that is in another band than the mobile so if your portable hand held radios are on UHF then I would advise a VHF high band repeater set up.
It will have to be a cross band setup meaning it will recieve UHF and transmit on VHF and also the opposite direction.
It will have to be programmed with CTCSS or PL of some kind to avoid interference and don't forget it will need to be FCC licensed for those frequencies if it is in the Business band.
Some mobile radios can be wired up through a mini controller and run that way if it is compatible.

Low volume on speakers

You have posted this question under the heading for the Motorola SP50 battery pack. I will assume you are referring to the SP50 radio. Check your radio's grill to be certain it is clear of debris. Was this radio previously working correctly? If so, that eliminates a programming or narrowband-wideband issue. If the radio is new to the group, you might check the programming and verify if the others in your workgroup are narrow or wideband. Two common failure parts which could effect the sound coming from the speaker would be the volume potentiometer (the part your volume knob sets on top of), and the speaker itself. It is possible your radio may need repair. In most cases this style radio is repairable for approx. $85 flat rate.

I have a pair of Motorola MS350 radios. 1 works fine but one does not receive or transmit. I have both radios set up the same.

If your frequency and code are set the same, you have either a battery problem or a radio problem. For a quick battery test, swap the battery pack from the good radio into the one with the problem and see if the problem moves. Then you will know if it is simply the battery. If both settings are identical and the battery swap does not solve the problem, you have a defective radio.

I need help to dismantle a motorola radius sp10 2 way radio

Remove the battery, slip a small screw driver into the slot at the bottom of the radio between the outer housing and the battery tray, gently pry up. If your radio has a pair of battery contacts on the exterior they will come up with the tray. Be gentle, and do not disturb the Mylar ribbon that runs down the back of the tray. Once the tray is removed, using a frame removal tool (shaped like a squared letter U) you slip the tool in the channels on either side of the radio where you removed the battery tray. Then slide the tool upward until it meets the two plastic ears. The tool will slip under the ears and using your tool you can push the component board out the top of the housing. If your radio has an 8-dip-switch private line board, you may want to watch you do not damage or dislodge it in the process.

Can the Motorola factory replace the battery in the H730 headset?

It is possible to have the battery in your Motorola H730 headset replaced, but it would likely need to be done by a third-party repair service as the battery is not typically user-replaceable. Motorola does not offer an official repair service for the H730 headset, so you may need to find a third-party repair service that specializes in repairing Bluetooth headsets. Be aware that third-party repairs may void any remaining warranty on the device. You can also consider purchasing a new headset if you prefer not to have it repaired.

I have two older Motorola Walkies Talkabout FR60 wont send or receive and a T5820 with the rubber broken off the antenna is is cost feasible to fix or not

I believe for the FR60 walkie-talkies, if they are not sending or receiving, the issue could be related to the antenna, battery, or internal components. You can try replacing the batteries and/or antennas to see if that resolves the issue. As for the T5820 walkie-talkie, if the rubber on the antenna is broken, it's likely that the antenna itself is also damaged. In this case, you can try replacing the antenna with a new one. Antennas are typically available for purchase online or at electronics stores. In terms of cost, repairing older walkie-talkies like these may not always be cost-effective. If the repairs are extensive or require replacement of major components, it may be more practical to purchase new walkie-talkies instead. Motorola sliver headset won't power on even when the green lights are solid

There are a few things you can try to troubleshoot this issue with your Motorola Silver headset not powering on:
  1. Make sure that the headset is fully charged by connecting it to the charger for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Check the battery contacts in the headset and charger to ensure that they are clean and free of debris.
  3. Try resetting the headset by holding down the power button for 15 seconds.
  4. Try a different charger or charging cable to see if that resolves the issue.
  5. Make sure that the headset is not in pairing mode.
  6. Check the headset manual for any information regarding troubleshoot, or if there are any specific instructions for turning on the headset.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, it may be a problem with the headset itself and you may need to contact Motorola for further assistance. Please note that the information provided is based on my knowledge cut-off date and it may not be current.

Can you use the Motorola XPR 4550 as a police scanner?

The Motorola XPR 4550 is a two-way radio, not a scanner. Scanners are devices that can listen to a wide range of frequencies, whereas two-way radios are designed for communication between a limited number of specific devices on specific frequencies. However, you can use a scanner to listen to the frequency that the Motorola XPR 4550 is transmitting on.

Motorola XTL5000. encoding is working but decoding is not. If you encode a different tone on another radio it still hears it.
