Look at the power supply first; look for burnt parts, bad capacitors, etc. Look for 5vdc, 12vdc, and 24dvc.

There are two places to look for the problems, the backlight inverter board and the power supply. Look at the power supply first since it is easier to get to, look for burnt parts, bad capacitors, etc.

Ur power supply board it dead.Must be replace.

Check input signal comming in, is there any?With another tv see if u have cable or free air signal.All that check,than ur backlight inverter board is dead.

If the TV goes in standby, then it is in protection mode.

Ensure also that the fault is not coming from a faulty receiver box sending
bad signal, check if you get same problem on DVD with no receiver box
connected.

Try first leaving the TV power cord unplugged for some times, let say one hour or so.

The flashing light indicates a diagnostic state called protection.
When the TV goes on protection there are only two possible causes.

1The internal circuits are jammed because of electrostatic charges accumulating on capacitors, or because of a wrong voltage read by the main chip on your monitor controller board. this started the protection circuit.

2 The protection circuit detected a wrong voltage or abroken contact, identified an internal fault and kicked in , starting the flashing light.

If you are in situation one, then the TV will reset just unplugging power cord for one or two hours,sometimes even minutes.

If you are in situation 2 , then there is an internal fault.

If under warranty contact the manufacturer ringing the number on the user manual

On LCD Pay particular attention at inverter and power board, power board can be inspected looking for bulged or leaking capacitors, then tested with a multimeter. The inverter is more difficult to test , there is need to read voltages, should be done by a tech. Also the LCD controller board can cause same problem

On Plasma, test Sustain (Ysus/Zsus) / Buffer boards , cables to plasma, digital board and power board.

On Rear Projection : check lamp, lamp ballast, power board, and convergence.

On CRT TVs, check ballast , flyback transformer, CRT, Tuner, Convergence.

I know this isn't what you want to hear, but the problem you've described can't be fixed with troubleshooting. Your TV will have to be repaired. There is a part that has developed a defect and needs to be replaced. If you're still in warranty, the TV will be repaired at no charge to you. The warranty would likely be at least one year from the date of purchase from the manufacturer. If you purchased an extended service plan they will repair the TV at no charge as well.

If the TV is no longer in warranty, it will likely cost a minimum of $150 parts and labor. This is assuming that you only need one circuit board or small part. If the problem is more than one of the circuit boards, the price of repair could go much higher.

This could be a bad display. take it back as this is the most expensive part of the set

With a set that new, you should be able to return it for warranty exchange or at least warranty service. The internal logic is having a problem, the power module is not up to the task, or there are just simply a few defective parts inside. In any case, there is no reason for you to worry about this, this is the type of thing that is covered by warranty.

Try that first.

If there is no power at all, then the problem is likely the power supply unit.
The PSU must be tested, then eventually replaced.

Looks like your flyback transformer is bad. This is a service tech's job to repair because of the amount of voltage in that area of the tv. Not a do it yourself job.

Have you checked the mains cable to make sure that the fuse has not blown ?

If it has ensure you replace it with the same wattage fuse and try again.

If that does not work or help then there is obviously something wrong with the TV - if its under warranty then get it repaired under that otherwise take it to a TV repair place and they should be able to repair it for you at a reasonable price.

go into TV menu and turn the HDMI on. guessing it should be in settings? or Video input.

It should be a standard 3 prong plug! Like what you would use to plug a computer in or a monitor in! Only rarely is the power could, a specific and special item.

For the remote try ebay or www.mrremotecontrolls.com!

Question edited a bit for clarity. All questions need 'make model (what it is)', and we aren't told what type of Spectroniq device you have. I am only seeing portable DVD players and a home theatre system. None of those take Netflix. https://www.google.com/search?q=Spectroniq ..

go into settings, click tuning, zone ,analog or digital, click start, will download channels if present.
