I have a Poloroid TLA01911C. When I turn it on it

It sounds like a bad inverter board or power supply board. Inverter boards tend to fail due to loose solder connections near the coils. Most power supply board failures are due to failed capacitors. The easier way of fixing this is by board replacement. I wouldn't recommend trying to repair this yourself unless you are very technically inclined.
Search online for Polaroid TLA01911c inverter board power supply and you will likely find suppliers who will sell directly to you.
The cost might be prohibitive and you might want to consider investing that cash in a new tv. Just my 2 cents.

The screen gets black in some minutes of working,

My LG LCD HD TV was doing the same thing. I would turn it on and within about 10 minutes the screen would go black.

After much research and troubleshooting I ended up having to send it out for servicing.

Before you do that, try these steps
  1. Is your TV plugged in to a power strip, splitter, UPS or other power sharing device? If so, plug it directly in to a wall outlet. If the TV is getting low power it can cause issues
  2. Does your TV have other video sources plugged in to it? (Example, Digital Cable, DVD Player,XBox 360) If so, try a different source and see if the problem still happens. If the problem does away, it could be the source. If the problem still happens then its still a problem :-)
Hope this helps!

TV scrolls through input sources on its own

To make sure the remote is still working, point the remote to the TV sensor, press couple of times and notice the Red LED is response or not. If the LED blinking, the remote works fine. The suspection now is the main board which is control all the inputs. You can try to get TV back to factory reset, it might help.

I have a 42'' polaroid. no pic no sound

If you replaced the metal box located on the backside of unit and nothing changed. Send it back for a refund because your problem is most likely the video control board located top center of panel. If you replace that and problem remains its the panel.

Yellow and green lines in middle of screen

replace the tv, you will find the main circuit board is defective, the repair cost will be more than a new set, so take this opportunity to update to a LED tv.

No picture on the t v

The most likely the TV has a power supply related problem. The most common thing to go out is the circuit board that supply power to the screen. Commonly called a Backlight Inverter Board.
I can't say it's 100% the problem because I can't actually look at the tv over the internet.
If by chance the TV is still under warranty, go that route.
If not under warranty and If you have some electronic experience, you can purchase a Service Manual over the internet and diagnose the source of the problem and fix it by soldering in the new part. The Service Manual will give you circuit diagrams, test points, and part# lists. Usually, cost under $20.

I hope I shed some light on the subject for you.

Grey cloud

This sounds like a diffuser problem. Basically the LCD Panel is defective.

32" LCD TV use about 8 horizontally mounted flourescent bulbs. They use a plastic material that diffuses (spreads) the light from each bulb evenly on the screen. If this Diffusion Material becomes wrinkled it will leave a grey cloudy look on the screen.

It is possible that the LCD Panel Glass is defective buy honestly I would guess the diffuser.

This isn't cheaply repairable and it is better to replace the TV unless you are experinced with Electronics repair. There may be a possibility to pull this material out and replace it with something readily available from Home Depot but I have not tried this before. It is possible to pull this from another LCD TV.

Need new power supply for this tv

I like you last comment. LOL
All brand of TV are having somewhat the same problems.
I believe a law needs to pass to have the TVs last longer than 5 years. I see TVs all the time only lasting 16 months.

This web site has 2 complete power supplies in stock right now. Here's the link:

Polaroid TV TLA-04011C won't turn on. Red power light is on.

Tv is most likely not getting signal from the laptop, right click on your desktop and select properties from the display properties select settings, on the settings page look if you see 2 monitors there, right click on the number 2 and select attach.

on a vista computer its right click on desktop, personalize, then display settings, and on the display settings page same as above.

if that doesn't give picture then look at the laptop keyboard, press FN button and look at the F1-f12 keys, one of them should enable the external display.

Does your monitor work at all even if you unplug the computer cable from it? try unplugging the whole tv for a while and try again.

Gray cloud

If the stain is irregular and static that is a faulty LCD display. The repair is expensive. Contact Polaroid at the number listed on owners manual as the TV has one year factory warranty cover.

I'm trying to install an antenna on this model tv

There should be a selection for setup or channels. It should give you the option for cable or antenna. Next, what type of antenna? Indoor or out door?
