Not so easy but try to call customer service for the brand (Proscan used to be RCA-GE-Thompson) to with the model number find the number, length, and thread type of the bolts.

My television was recently repaired

grab a flash light .with the tv on and while making sure you have a signal hearing the sound.Shine flashlight at tv screen look closley.if you can see the video on screen with flashlight ..Then you have internal problem with lcd backlight inverter section or power to inverter..

My 32inch Proscan lcd tv wont power up the green

If you can open than open your LCD tv & checked Inverter Borad it have White & red color connector may be this board is defective.

Volume making humming noise when on

there is a bad ground.
the hum you are hearing is ac getting into the audio.check all the rca plugs on the set are plugged in all the way.do not run them close to a power bar either.
sometimes a second unit with it's own volume is hooked up to the tv and then the tv volume is up too high because the other box is turned down.if there is a unit hooked up,turn it's volume up ,and the volume on the tv down,otherwise the tv will amplify the residual noise.cheers,ed

I have a Proscan 40 inch LCD tv and i can't

I had the same problem and code 0178 worked for me. It isn't anywhere that the other codes are on the internet, I just found it on a message board somewhere.

By mistake my Proscan DVD Player was unplugged now My DVD Player Remote won't work, is there Codes. I can try, the Remote doesn't turn on the DVD Player or Play the Movies put new battery in it..

try unplugging unit and taking batteries out then plug back in and put batteries in remote

I have a Proscan TV 32 in and when you turn it on it gets real loud how can I fix it

Fault with the control voltage at its amp section. May be a system control IC fault too. Contact any service tech: to make it confirm, and to get repaired.
This is not an easy repair work to do for a customer.

I am unable to get cable TV on my Proscan TV. I connected the cable to the tv and went to the TV source but nothing comes on.

You can only receive clear qam signal. If your cable company scrambles all available channels then you need decoder to receive cable tv

Doren Martin Jan 19, 10:36 CST I have a Proscan TV. When it's on, the volume goes up and down by itself, the input menu pops up on screen. Pressing volume buttons brings up input menu, and basically everything is haywire. Can u offer any suggestions as to what my problem might be.

This could be a lot of things.. You did not post the model number of the television but you may have interference from other devices in the home and it the remote is not infrared then you may have stray radio waves causing problems.
