The cc has been enabled on your cable box. Usually there is a hidden menu accessed by turning off the cable box. Yes I did say turning off the cable box first. Then immediately pressing the menu button on the front of the cable box. The hidden menu should pop up and one of the menu options will be closed captioning,. Disable it.

Let verify first to narrow down to where the problem can be. First, make sure the MUTE or SAP function is not activated, then check the on screen sound set up menu to make sure the speakers are not set to OFF. If the setting is OK, then attach the powered PC speakers to the Audio Line out RCA jacks (Red and White) to see if you can get the sound there, if you do, then the problem can be in the power amp circuits, if you do not get the sound at RCA jacks, then the problem can be in the sound processor circuit. Is there a clicking sound? Unplug the power cord for 20 seconds and see if this helps reset the circuitry. Your main power board is bad, need to replace

Samsung always had problems with their front masks buzzing or rattling at certain audio frequencies. What they started doing is putting a rubber or foam "edge" around the inside of the mask to stop the noise. It sounds like yours has started to bulge out. You would have to remove the LCD panel to really access it and get it back where it belongs.

If you can open your LCD and clean all connector given and refit properly.don't use force to remove connector just try to softly remove.

Look at the power supply first since it is easier to get to, look for burnt parts, bad capacitors, etc.

I have seen this before in a lcd tv I worked on! My problem was some bad caps (capacitors) on the power supply board. They will look bulged on the top an may be a little leaky (brownish stain). But also check the signal board (rca s-video etc... inputs). My thought in this was a bad cap was producing a harmonic, causing the speakers to squeal! Good luck, I hope this is helpful!

Caps can fail with no outward signs. It takes a special meter to test them. Your set may have a back light inverter that powers the back lights. When it fails, the picture cant be seen, but you have sound, to check this look for a picture on the screen using a flashlight
