A fingernail file, the cardboard/sandpaper kind is the best method. Don't use any solvents. Once you have the corrosion mostly cleaned away, use a pencil eraser to gently clean the rest.

One of my radios keeps emitting a constant static,
Contant static can be a sign of a bad battery. Try trading the battery pack between the units to see if the problem moves to the other radio. If so, you need to replace your battery pack. Any other problem related to static would not be able to be resolved, as the T4500 is non-repairable.
Best regards.

Hi got a set T4508. One unit just gives some
1) Check the programming to be certain they are on the same frequency.
2) Check your batteries, as it takes more energy to transmit than to receive. Swapping the batteries from the good unit to the suspect unit should tell if it is a battery issue.
In looking at the user manual for the T4500, it does not appear to have an interference eliminator code. If the T4508 were to have "code" this also would need to be programmed identically to the other radio.

Youcan pull the cases apart and check the circuit board and capacitors. Makde sure there are no swollen parts, no leaking capacitors, and no burn marks on the circuit board. Chances are one or more may be bad.

Here are a few troubleshooting ideas:
1) Check your programming to be certain the radios are on the same frequency. Here is a link to the user guide:

2) Check the mic hole of the "good" radio you are using with this one to see if it is covered or has debris in the hole.
3) Check your battery on the "good" radio, as it takes more energy to transmit than to receive. Swap the battery to the other radio and see if the problem moves.
If none of the above help, you may have a defective radio.

Perhaps the privacy code has been changed on one of the radios? If you have a manual follow the instructions for setting the codes and make sure they are the same on both radios.

Chinese version t4501, 1 handset tx-ok, rx-not ok
What you are describing indicated the "code" is not set the same on both radios. Check your frequency, interference code eliminator and Qt filter (if any). All the settings must be identical between the two radios. If you are still having issues, set your code and Qt filter (if any) to zero (off) and then try it. Lastly, check your batteries. Bad or poorly charged batteries can cause transmit issues, as it takes more power to transmit than to receive.
