How do I turn on the wireless capabilities on my MSI laptop?

Overheating When the CPU overheats then it will shut down (i.e. thermal overload) and won't boot up again until it has cooled down. If this is the problem is not fixed then the CPU will eventually fail. A faulty fan causes the problem or the fan and heat sink assembly are clogged with dust. Check the CPU fan to see if it spins freely, if not replace the fan. If the fan and heat sink is clogged with dust the remove the dust and make sure the vents are clear and dust free. Use a small brush and can of compressed air to do this.

i suspect your f11 key does work, try opening a web browser and while it is open press the f11 key if your browser goes full screen the f11 key works just press f11 again to return it to normal. Try pressing and holding the fn key and then press f11 that will switch your wireless on and off

We know it is a power problem, there can be a few issues and just guessing because it is not in front of me I can tell you if the machine does not power on with the battery taken out or with the battery in and power plug out. It is either the power supply unit which you changed out or a board issue or the power button is bad. If I was to just guess which is all I can do from this end. If I had a choice to replace the power button or the board I would do the power button first if that does not work then a new or refurbished board is needed. I suggest you take it in to a computer repair place so they can test these items out. John

Hold the FN key and press F11. That will turn the switch on for the wireless.

Go to device manager>uninstall the wireless driver and restart the computer,check if it works ,still you have the same issue can download the wireless driver from the link - http://www.msi.com/index.php?func=nbdriver&maincat_no=135&prod_no=1513

You may have damaged the cpu if it is overheating. The cpu will slow down and then shutdown trying to protect itself. However once it is damaged ie won't run then you need to replace the cpu. The cpu is worth about $120 and then labor to disassemble the laptop.

You also need to clean the cooling system out so this doesn't happen. Thats easy to do using either compressed air or a vacuum. If you don;t then this will just happen again.

Follow these Steps :
1> Go to start
2> Click on RUN
3> Type SERVICES.MSC
4> New Window will appear
5> Go to bottom of the page
6> Select Windows ZERO Configuration
7> If it shows Manual then Right click on this service
8> Go to properties
9> You will get START TAB
10> Click on START
11> Click APPLY and then OK
12 > Select AUTOMATIC where its shows start service MANUAL
Now try to connect with wireless connection
If still its not working then folow these steps .
1> Go to Control Panel
2>Click on Network Connections
3>Right click on Wireless network Connections
4> Click on properties
5>New Window will pop up
6> Select Wireless networks tab
7>Check very first option which says " Use Windows to configure my Wireless Settings
8> click on Apply
9> click OK
now try to connect with wireless

Hi, there is no easy way of doing this, your best bet is to contact MSI Customer support and explain the sittuation.
Manufacturers often put passwords to stop you from altering anything in the bios, because it has been tuned for that pc.

I am not sure if I have a solutions more so than a suggestion. I have done many notebook repairs and one thing that I make sure my techs do is NOT to shock the motherboard (Static, ESD) A simple shock can destroy the video, sound, wireless, and even the hard drive controller. I would check with the company that replaced your LCD and ask if they had trouble with your notebook after the install. Minus the LCD, my first guess would have been to upgrade your memory (maybe), defrag your hard drive and test parts on a good pc. Worst case: replace the motherboard or replace the notebook.

just try to repair your Operating system(xp,winvista) and also check if you're have enough memory to run the games,because each and every game have requirement check for these compatibility if your computer is capable to run such games.
