'No driver found' for my Logitech QuickCam Chat?

A driver is a computer program used to run a device or hardware.
You can download the Logitech software bundle from here

http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/405/&cl=us,en?prodcrid=405

Browse the photo gallery and click on your pic to move to the support page for your model
Click the 'download' link to what OS Logitech support for your cam
Older webcams will not have a windows 7 driver but you may be able to download the bundle and run it in Compatibility Mode

If no driver is available try using the older OS software in Compatibility Mode
Right click on the webcam icon on your desktop or the webcam file from 'All Programs' - select 'Properties'
Select the 'Compatibility' tab
Select 'Compatibility Mode'
Use the dropbox to show the OS
Click OK
Restart your computer

Dont work on messenger

Test your webcam here to make sure it broadcasts ok - Hit 'Allow' in the top window and check your cam in the left hand panel.

http://www.testmycam.com/

Having proved your cam is working ,you can configure it to WLM (MSN)

CONFIGURE SOFTWARE to MSN
Its good practice to disconnect and re-connect your webcam before you start - if you have been using it elsewhere the MSN software may have difficulty in locating it, even if you exited the previous program correctly.
The reason being, the webcam software can remain hooked-up to a program and needs to be rebooted.
Mine, I just unplug it from the USB and plug it back in to reboot the software.
If yours is integral with the computer you will have to re-start the computer, use a keyboard shortcut or disable / enable the webcam from the Device Manager.

Open MSN
Click 'Open Menu'
From 'Tools; navigate to, and click, 'Audio and Video setup'
Set your speakers
Click 'Test' - if OK, move on.
Set your mic as default
Use the slider to set volume and test.
Click 'Next'
This takes you to the video setup
Your webcam should be broadcasting - (if not - make sure the webcam is set as default - restart MSN)
Use 'Webcam Settings'to fine tune the picture.
Click 'Finish'

I changed my windows XP

Hi,

According to the information available on the manufacturer's support website, QuickCam 11.1 is not supported on Windows 7 operating system.

Also, Logitech has not released any Windows 7 compatible drivers or software for the QuickCam 1.1. For more details, kindly see the "Operating System Support" chart by clicking this link.

Therefore, you will have to use another webcam with Windows 7 based computer.

Thanks for using FixYa.

Quick Cam Chat software will not install.

put your model information into this link and it will list the software for it. Try downlaoding the software and installing it with that. you probably just have a bad cd.

Plug the headphones in where the speakers are plugged in. You use either the Headphones or the speakers. Plug the headphones into the green jack and if it has a mike, plug the pink mike jack into the the pink jack.
