this is caused by inproper wiring from the speakers/subs to the amplifier.. an amp will still put out power to subs and speakers when it's wired improperly but it won't last for very long doing it... 6 months is longer than usual....

what is the amplifier model number and how many channels does it have... if you can just read off the numbers on the top of the amp...

what kind of parts? if you need electronic components then go to digikey.com or ebay. but digikey has a great tech support.

Afraid you may have blown an amplifier. If you have a AC voltmeter, audio generator and schematic, you can feed audio signal into unit and track the signal on both channels during amplification stages.and locate the spot where the amplification stops or one channel deviates from the other. And there is your culprit.

There is little chance that you can do anything about it. The exact voice coil would have to be identified, the old ones taken out, and replacing them is technically difficult/impossible without the proper tools and experience.

Have you installed Kicker capacitors? With the extra power you have you will need them to help with the load.

on some cases you can but if its your falut that they ripped more then likely they want to repair or replace and you have to have a warranty on the subs to have them do anything with them so car place will soilder them back together if there some wire coming off the sub
