There is no heat on any setting

If you have a power meter and can check the continutiy of the heating element and the thermal fuses that is what you need to do.
Unplug the unit and then remove the back panel remove the wires to the heating element and check for continuity if it has continuity then reattach the wires then look up higher on the side of the can and you should see a high limit thermal fuse remove those wires and test it if it fails replace it.

If you don not have a meter then you might have to remove the element and visually look at it.
as far as the high limit thermal fuse with the wires disconnected you may be able jump them together and plug the unit back in and it should get hot.

this should help solve your problem.Good luck and Happy New Year.

First check the 30 amp fuses in the panel. Next check to see if the belt is broken. Next short out the small thermal fuse on the heater housing and if the dryer starts replace it .

The dryer stopped just all of a sudden, What

ill assume that this is an lectric dryer, if thats the case the most common issue is a faulty thermal fuse assy, locted in back wall of unit. after disconnecting power supply, you can find the thermal fuse behind back cover its a white thermostat usually with 2 blue wires (-----------------------) probably about this long, a simple continuity tesat with a power meter will tell you good or bad.

The cube makes noise when

ALWAYS UNPLUG YOUR DRYER BEFORE STARTING ANY REPAIRS
Your problem sounds like drum rollers have flat spots on them or in need of lubrication, or maybe your drum belt has slipped off of the idler arm pulley.
If you have a front loading machine.
Note: This method works with most front loading machines.

Remove the electrical console that holds the timer switch, start switch, etc. from the top of the dryer.
Note: Some tops hinge and tilt backwards so they do not have to be removed and the electrical consol with stay with the lid.
Also remove the lint filter and the screws holding the lint filter housing in place.
Be REAL CAREFUL not to knock any of the wires off of the timer switch. Then remove the top of the dryer.
Remove the front of the dryer. This will expose the drum and belt. Remove the drum and belt and this will expose the drum rollers, idler arm pulley and motor.
Now is a good time to check the belt to see if it has slipped off of the idler arm pulley and also to check the belt condition for wear.
Be sure to note the route of the belt, this will come in handy when you go to reinstall the belt.
Check your drum rollers for flat spots or wear, if they have flat spots or wear on them replace them.
If the drum rollers don't have flat spots or wear on them then they probably only need lubrication. Lubricate the shaft of the rollers with a good grade of machine oil such as 3 in One oil. Reassemble the dryer, plug back in. This should solve your noise problem.

Dryer runs but there's no heat

It could be the heating element, a safety limit, a control problem, or an electrical problem. Your heating coil is used to warm the clothes as they get tossed gently inside the drum.502387c.jpg A blower mounted on the motor pulls air through the heating element into the drum and out the exhaust. The element gets old and brittle with use and eventually needs replacement. That is what you check first. If it turns out the element is fine then one of the safety's might be blown. These safety's are set to a certain temperatured6f701a.jpg
for the dryer to operate safely. The drum temp control for cotton is 160f. A limit on the heater housing is 250f. If it fails another smaller limit is mounted nearby that blows at 300f. If that temp exceeds 350f a duct fuse mounted on the blower housing opens and kills most dryers. If all of those safety's are good the timer could be the problem.f5b3301.jpg The timer has a terminal on it that runs down to the heating element. If you suspect it is bad you can check it with a meter. That leg of the timer should have continuity with other terminals on the timer at different spots on the timer. Turning the timer and checking for continuity will give a clue. If you cannot get continuity with any other terminal on the timer at any position on the dial then you have a burned contact in the timer. If that turns out to be good, you would need to inspect the electrical outlet for proper power to the machine. On American models the motor runs on 120 volts but the heating element must have 240 volts.74ca3e1.jpg If you have more questions just post a comment. Good luck on repairing your machine. Inglis by whirlpool spins but does not dry...no

ALWAYS UNPLUG YOUR DRYER BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO DO ANY WORK ON IT.
Check to make sure you are getting full 220 Volt power to the dryer, if you are then:
Sounds like your problem may be with the heating coil. Remove the back of the machine and try to
locate the air duct going from the blower to the drum. Normally inside the air duct you will find
the heating coil and the thermostats/thermistor. Once you have located the heating coil, remove
the two wires from it and check the coil with an ohm meter across the two terminals of the coil.
You should read continuity across the terminals, if not you will need to replace the coil as it
is faulty. If the heating coil is ok, then: You can check the thermostat/thermistor by removing
the two wires and taping them together with electrical tape. If the coil heats up then replace
the thermostat/thermistor. DO NOT LEAVE THE WIRES TAPED TOGETHER AFTER THE TEST. This could cause
a fire, as you have removed the safety of overheat from the machine. I will include these two web
sites for parts and further help:

Both also have chat assistance 24/7.
