Can I recover a deleted
Sorry, but you can't. On digital answering machines, when you delete a message it's gone. There's no undelete function.

Casio phonemate TA120
I have the same machine. There is a Function/Edit button on the upper left hand side of the unit. Every time you press the button you scroll through the functions to program the unit. Change the "remote code" to any two digit number you choose and will take care of your problem!

Panasonic Auto-Logic 2line syst dual standard cassette needs help
If the unit answers reliably but isn't recording, it probably just needs new cassettes, new drive belts and a good head cleaning. If you can find a service shop that works on cassette decks, they could
probably look at the machine for you. These are the same things you need to do to a stereo deck occasionally.
On the other hand, if the machine is not picking up at all sometimes, there may be electronic problems and you might have to check Panasonic's website for service options. Parts availability for something this old could be an issue.

Greeting was somehow erased
Hi Sherrie, I am sorry to hear about your husband, I will do what I can to help. I am fairly confident on that model that if you push the greeting button, then delete it will erase the message for good. Also, if the memory power failed, then it would reset to the default greeting and erase all messages and greetings. However, if the unit has options for multiple greetings (ie. default greeting, greeting 1, greeting 2, etc., then perhaps the default greeting may have been selected, while your husbands greeting is still there but is recorded under say greeting number 1. If that is the case, you can select it to play his greeting instead of the default greeting to have it play. I would find out for you but my computer is having trouble opening the manual on the Panasonic site, so here is the link. Look under "greetings" in the index. Hope I helped. Thanks, CG

Parasonic auto-logic answering machine
Hello, yes it sounds like your trying to connect a "analog device" to a "digital" telephone. If you wish to connect the answering machine to answer your line or lines, you should contact your facilities maintenance department and see if they can "hardwire" your telephone line (your primary phone number), to another jack in your office so your answering machine will work by being placed in "parallel" with your phone system and your primary phone number. If you have more than one phone line (number) you wish for the machine to answer, you will need to ask for a "analog extension" from your digital phone system and have it programmed to ring when any of your roll over lines ring. However, keep in mind the machine can only answer one call at a time, the other simultaneous callers will get a ring no answer until the first caller has hung up. Good luck, hoped to help. CG
