Hi I am Vortash sorry to say that power supply fault seems to be the most likely answer to this .. and to be honnest with laptops that was 50% of the problems I fixed .. they are also quite exspensive retail so I tend to search on Amazon or Ebay for them .
I have had this problem with a faulty hard drive also it was shorted out so the computer just shut down .. whatevetr it turns out to be this is one for a skilled engineer as replacing components on a 12 layer multiple circuit requires special soldering equipment and conditions and a fair amount of dexterity and skill good eyesight and the patience of a God lol . you could try another hard drive yourself that isn't to difficult if you can borrow or buy a cheap one .. and you can always get a caddy for it after and us it as a secondry drive on the usb if your own isn't faulty .. go to BIOS settings and change SATA mode from AHCI to IDE.press F2 while booting up

You need to create a partition on your new hard disk and the format this partition as a NTFS partition.
You can use your Windows installation CD to create and format the hard disk and then install Windows plus the Acer laptop device drivers or quit Windows installation after formatting and then use your backup discs to restore your laptop.

1. Check the cables for lose connection in the connectors.
2. Check if there are interferences of magnetic fields from other gadgets.Yes, check if near your laptop, you haven't placed speakers, florescent lights, cell phones, radios and any other electrical device.
3. Check if there were any changes in the display settings like when some computers are upgraded from their original versions. For instance, many laptops that have been upgraded from Windows 95 versions to higher versions, have shown problems of flickering due to poorly calibrated refresh rate.
4. Many a time, it may occur that the pixels on your LCD laptop screen/LCD Monitors are damaged in certain area and so you're unable to see proper images. If that is the case, then you don't have any other choice but to change the entire screen and replace it with a new one.
5.To check if there is no problem in your video card, connect another monitor to your laptop through the VGA port. If it shows any faint images or jumbled images, then the main reason for your laptop flickering screen is your video card.
6. if you don't find that there is any other problem you can detect, there must be problems within your computer monitor screen, otherwise It is advisable to go to your laptop service center and get the laptop checked. If you find that your laptop screen is still in warranty period and you find problems of flickering, it is best to get it changed.

It's possible that it is only showing as a drive letter, such as "A" or "G", or whatever. Try putting a CD in, and see if that makes it show up. If not, feel free to come back and ask again, and add what you tried. :) Also, if you do have to come back, tell us if you did anything that could have caused it. No fault or blame, we just need to know to help you better.

The first thing to do is make sure Windows can see it. Depending on the Windows version - Control Panel, System, Device Manager. If the device shows up under ide ATA/ATAPI devices then your Computer recognises it is connected, if not you have a hardware fault - possibly a connector has come loose. You can take the back off the box and try the connectors but they are usually difficult to get to.
If the device does show up try updating the driver - it will be an option on the properties screen. If that does not work chances are the device itself is broken and needs replacing.

Try going into device manager,select this device from the list and follow the troubleshooting guide for your cd/dvd drive

clean the lens of cd rom drive, if still having problem then replace it with the new one.

If it not under warranty I would suggest to open the laptop and reseat the Keyboard cable. Also it might just be that the keyboard is simply faulty - as the space bar is close to bv so maybe it was damaged some time ago. The last assumption I would have that liquid has been spilled onto the keyboard - It stuck bv and space together and everytime you type space, the key that are hooked with the dried liquid come down with it.

You simply insert the card in, and it will click into place to get it out again, push it in again, and it will "Unlatch" and pop out. Just make sure you are in the correct slot.

reinstall the application if you have the drivers CD or you can download from the following link

is LCD monitor internal cable defective, go to the repair center.

Hi,

If you are using Nero burning rom for burning the disc, before you burn the disc , in the action tab, you have a check box SIMULATION
Make sure that this check box is NOT CHECKED.

If you use Nero Express for buning in the left pane(Which can be accessed by pressing << ) before burning check whether the SIMULATION is not checked

pull memory sticks replace them.may work.if its not reading drive cable could be bad or motherboard itself

but my advice is if u want to connect ur laptop to an old TV (Not flat and doesn't have a high resolution) don't connect to it and buy a new LCD screen to ur laptop , so just connect ur laptop to any TV which is flat or LCD and have a high reolution cause u may face a problem in colors and resolution
