On only one of my bills, the first few pages print
First Thing I would do is check peachtree for any critical updates to the program.
It sounds as if there are some unprintable characters somehow stored in one of the fields that print out, causing the printer to think it has received a "page eject" command. Is it too much trouble to re-create the record (ie. delete and re-create) for this bill? Odds are this will solve the problem.

Peachtree Complete for DOS on WIN 98 says GL not found
Run command prompt as administrator. Enter chkdsk /f as command
Suspect reinstallation of the Peachtree program would necessarily follow that. What points to the G/L file was corrupted by the power failure. If you can uninstall Peachtree without loss of the data, the forementioned may fix the problem. sAfter all, if the error message is that the Programs for GL are not found, reinstallation should replace those programs. I think Peachtree 11 was an update which worked on XP. Note that one person tried to update to XP Pro from Home XP and it took Peachtree 11 hours to make the transition. Gives you a bit of a pause. Set up backups if you use Peachtree. Hope these ideas help. There was a Peachtree for Dummies book written in that period, FYI,

Peachtree Premium accounting 2005 - unable to
Run a repair on Sage (to run a repair, start an installation of the software and a dialog box will pop up saying it is already loaded do you want to repair and reinstall).
When this happens, you should still be able to restore to a new company.

Computer is not reading the installation disk
By installation Disk do you mean the CD/DVD-ROM? If yes Check to see if the drive's LED flashes when the system is trying to boot. If it doesn't, open the system and make sure all the cables to the CD/DVD- ROM is properly connected and to the right slots. If the cables are properly connect and the CD/DVD- ROM is still not working replace the CD/DVD-ROM.However, if its that the system could not install a particular program, make sure the installation files are complete and try again. If its a downloaded program, verify the completeness of the file downloaded and try reinstalling the program.

Have you actually purchased Visio, or are you just trying to get it for free?
As a software guy, I would have to advise against piracy. :)
There are several ways to get Visio for cheap. If you are a student, there are discounted versions available online and in stores. Also, you can check with your school for even cheaper options sometimes. Try the university bookstore if available. Or a Computer Science department maybe.
If you are working, and your company uses MS Office applications, find out if they have the "Microsoft at Home" program. You can get MS Office applications for really cheap that way. I can get Visio through my company's "Microsoft at Home" program for a few dollars.

If you are in the middle of a contract, then cutting your wages is almost certainly a violation of your employment law rights. While I am by no means an expert on this matter, I did have a similar issue years ago - mid-contract wage cuts - and I hired an
employment attorney to fight the case on my behalf. It turned out that my employer was basically looking to scare people into taking the wage cut.
They got into some pretty serious legal trouble for their transgression, and nothing happened to me in terms of wage cuts after that. If you are between contracts, your employer can re-negotiate your salary, but as far as I am aware, if you are in an agreed-upon contract, they cannot just decide to reduce your salary. If you want to settle matters, contest this action with support from a legal professional.
