Hi,
It means that you have to renew your subscription to Norton anti virus.
Otherwise, if you don't want to pay, uninstall norton completely and then install AVG anti virus which has a free version.
In my scan,I was advised that my
i'm not sure as to why you are saying "your norton". fixya.com does not own nor are related to Norton.
www.symantec.com is the location for support to that product.
If you still have problems i can suggest removing norton from the system via the add/remove or programs and features object in the control panel. then install the free version of AVG found at www.avg.com to try and resolve your solution.
I just had Norton re-installed after being removed; not running
One possible issue: the original Norton was not completely removed. Try running the Norton Removal Tool. Download it from: http://www.symantec.com/norton/support/kb/web_view.jsp?wv_type=public_web&selected_nav=&pvid=&docurl=20080828154508EN
Make sure you know your product key. Directions are on above site.
Then reinstall your Norton Product. After rebooting following running the Removal Tool, your browser will probably open with directions for downloading and installing the Norton product. Otherwise, you can use your CD, if you bought a box version. If you bought the product online, you need to check your download directory to see if you still have the installer or try to redownload the file (check the paperwork for your purchase).
I hope this helps.

(I have assumed that you are not running Windows 7 and have remaining time on your subscription. If you have Win7, the directions that follow use of the Norton Removal Tool are your best option. Norton 2010 is Win7 compatable.)
I want to put 360 on this comp, have multi package, how do i do i
Download the software from Symantec.com, http://liveupdate.symantec.com/upgrade/N360S300EN.exe . If you set up your MyNorton account from your first subscription, http://www.mynortonaccount.com/ , you can access that web site on the new computer and copy the key into the clipboard. Then when the installation asks for the key, paste it in (Ctrl+v works). Otherwise, get the key from your online purchase document (e-mail confirmation or whatever was sent with the information). Either transfer the file (e-mail it, transfer by FTP or sharing the file over the network, or put it on an external media) to the new computer and cut and paste from there or print it and type it by hand.
The program will ask you for the key during the install when it asks you to accept the license agreement.
I hope this helps.

Paid for product in Jan 2010. you shut it off
we can fix this. Firstly, when you say you are getting a flashing message that your service is turned off what exactly is the message? and when does it come up. Are you sure that the message is not simply your firewall settings telling you that you have Norton turned off? also, when you updated your norton, they will have a copy of the registration so they would not suspend your service.
I recently renewed my subscription, 1-11-10,for
You should have received a new Product Key for 2010 and must enter the number to activate your renewal. Also you may need to download the Latest version of the Norton Software. Once you enter the renew Product Key (you must be online) the Norton will validate the code and should prompt you through the rest.
Unable to download norton internet security 2010
Hi, sometimes when you have up a Firewall, it will prevent software from downloading; its being blocked! Go to: Control Panel / Security; click, (Allow a program through Windows Firewall). You should be able to install Nortons 2010. Thanks paul7of9

I cant seem to get my security working, and i cant
Sounds like you got a virus. Personally I wouldn't use Norton internet security if it was free! You can check for free by downloading spyhunter and running a scan. Hold on let me find a reliable download link- since your internet is not working you will obviously have to download it from an alternate PC.

Once it scans if it only comes up with cookies that are infected I would say your okay- but if it comes up with several files and memory infected items then your in trouble. I would say it is worth the $30 to drop on the program it will save you $100+ in repair shop bills.
