I have the cricut, It has worked before now it

The same thing is happening with mine. I probably haven't used it over 12 times! It came on initially, then went off. It hasn't come on since! Don't look to get any help from Provo Craft, as you've probably already found out. I can't find any place that repairs them, but on eBay they sell refurbished ones...odd. So, someone knows how to repair them!

I find it very difficult

This may help: If your mat is too sticky, you need to prep your mat, sort of like "curring" your cast iron skillet when it is new. (I guess I just aged myself.)
Remove the clear plastic film from the mat. Pat both hands all over mat for several minutes. Next place a piece of cardstock (same size as mat) and remove, repeat 8-10 X. This should also reduce the "confetti" or leftover tiny paper pieces on messy mats.

Hope this helps!!

My Cricut Expression keeps turning on and off.

I would contact cricut because you may have a defective machine. I had an expression and cut one thing then it froze. We did the reset and that did not resolve the issue. Cricut had me send my machine back and they shipped a new one. Mind you they will put a charge on your credit card only to protect themselves. You just ship yours to them the way they tell you in the one you receive. Let me know if you do not have their contact number.

WHen the cricut is cutting it tears my paper even

After having the Cricut for many years, I finally figured out how to cut the intricate cuts. Use multi cut 2, speed on med (3) and pressure on 4. I also keep my blade at 4. It takes a lot longer to cut but it cuts out good!

I can't get my cricut to cut out the whole letter.

I need more information. Are you using Cricut Design Studio or cutting just from the cricut itself. If you're cutting from Design Studio then you need to make sure your letter is within the space of the mat. If there is some hanging off the edge or past the cut line then it will skip over it and not cut it.

I need a manual for my Cricut Machine.

Have you been here? http://www.cricut.com/ ?

You may find someone here who has this manual but ... and this is BIG ... Terms of use agreement for this site prevent any contact between us (Question asker and Question catcher) outside of this forum. We have the larger model Cricut and, for the cost, I would get the manual to you - but I cannot jeopardize my standing here at FixYa.com for the buck or two that I might receive from this transaction.

Most people who answer questions here are volunteers working out of their home, like me. If there is a large depository of instruction manuals here on this site, I have not discovered it.

If all else fails, I would suggest that you send a e-mail to the company (at the above address) and ask to purchase the manual or the CD that comes with your make and model.

Thanks for your question and I hope you find your manual. Did you try asking the person you bought the device from?

By the way, we love our Cricut! You will have a lot of fun with it.

The cricut does not cut through the paper, it only

Yes, there are three rollers that one adjusts your size of the image you are cutting that is on the right hand side of the machine. The other two are on the left side of the machine. The top one is your speed control and the bottom is your pressure. I would move it up to medium when cutting with cardstock or even up to high if it is thick cardstock. Hope this helps, any further questions feel free to ask me.

Cannot use die cuts

No I don't think your machine is defective. Here are some "sandwich" ideas to help you. I know you asked just for Cuttlebug dies; I included other "sandwiches" that you can do with your Cuttlebug. If you need further assistance feel free to contact me.

Cardstock
Chipboard
Magnetic/ Metal Sheets & Thin cork (Media)

Cuttlebug Dies
Plate “A”, Plate “B”, Die (cutting side up), Cardstock, Plate “B”

Nestabilities
You will need Spellbinders Tan Embossing Mat to emboss in
Cuttlebug™ machine (or a plumbers gasket cut to size, or some use a mouse pad)
Cutting Sandwich - (Stack from bottom up)
1. A plate
2. C plate
3. Spellbinders Die (cutting side up) that means the side with the
ridges
4. paper or cardstock

4. Use 2 or 3 pieces of cardstock to shim.
*Cautionary Note: Using more than 3 pieces of cardstock to
shim Cuttlebug Embossing sandwich will result in B Plate
breakage. When using Spellbinders Edgeabilities card making
dies, shim with only 2 pieces of card stock.
5. Place two acrylic B plates on top of sandwich and run thru
Cuttlebug machine to emboss Spellbinders die cuts.
6. Turn die over and use like a stencil with inks and chalks for
added detail.

Jpeg file onto a cricut

Cricut does not accept jpegs. They use their cartridges that come with the machine and others that you can purchase. However if you have Cricut Design Studio you can design your image with the cricut. Any further questions feel free to ask.

Yes, the carriage does move to the right and it makes a funny noise as it moves. The cricut then should light up with display and power light. If yours is not then I would contact Cricut as you may have a defective machine. Just know they will put a charge on your card to ship another machine to you and will remove the charge when you ship your machine with issues back to them.
