Is this a new problem, has the unit worked in the past? You may need to reset the unit - remove the batteries for a few minutes, then re-insert. You may also try new batteries.

Hi there, there doesn't seem to be any specific information online for how to take it apart, but I've attached the user manual as a link to reverse the process. It seems you can easily remove the "shoulders" from the "base", all four legs can be detached easily, and the stool has removable legs as well.

Apparently you can disconnect all power supplies (batteries and adapter), then reconnect all power supplies. Press the ON/OFF button. Remove the storybook cartridge, clean it if necessary, then re-insert it into the V.Reader.

Hey there, seems like you've already tried many solutions.

May I suggest checking if the SD card has been formatted before its first use (check to see if your SD card is formatted as a FAT16 or FAT32 partition). I have attached a link with further details on doing this.

Also make sure your SD card is not in write-protected mode (the Lock switch on your SD card should be in the off position) and try again.

As well, make sure you have the most updated software on your device.

If nothing else works, I got the below text from the Vtech website.

Go to settings and it should have something about Languages and press that and press english.

Go to the settings under MY NAME and type in R-E-S-E-T to erase everything and start over. That is the only way to remove a name!!
