Hello my Panasonic split units air condition is
please read this entire message before doing aniything
that is a problem with you compressor unfurtunatly my recomendation would be to just replace the entire unit but if you have a multimeter and a little patience hear is how you make sure
remove the outside cover and you will be able to see the compressor wich will look like a black tank with copper tubing running into it now that you have located the compressor there will be three wires running into it(usually in a harnes making it apear to be one big wire remove the wire cover off of the compressor there should be two plugs conecting into three pegs on the compressor be sure to make a note of which wire go which pegs it should be clearly marked on the cover as (s) for start (r) for run and (c) for common now set your multimeter to ohm touch your wires from your meter (with the plugs off) to the (s) to (c) pegs write down what you get now the same but (r) to (c) write down what you get then add those numbers together now touch (r) to (s) and that number should equal the number you just added up if not your compressor is bad and your unit should be replaced if under warranty panasonic should take care of that please note that a multimeter costs about the same as a new unit so if you dont have one dont bother trying to diagnose
i hope i was able to help you out
