Are you shure it has to do with the resistor, All the resistor does is controls,The different fan speeds, If you are geting no power to it, Have you check if the fuse blew for it? Or the relay for it could be defective, Or the blower motor might be burn,t out,

I would call all of the salvage yards until you are able to locate one where they have your car. Best to start as close to home as possible because you are likely going to have to go and pull it off. The Dallas County Auto Salvage yard on MacArthur will pull it for you, all you got to do is pick it up. They may mail it. I am not for sure about the mail thing though.

newer cars come with an amp built in so mak esure u hook up the amp wire it may end up plugging into the power ant. or amp wire

There is a kit from Metra called the Metra 99-3303 kit that takes the double din area of the stock stereo and converts it into an info center/single din. Cost is about $123 on ebay.

This factory stereo does not provide a switched 12 volt source. You will have to go to an accessory power source in the vehicle. That's what the extended red wire is for.

If it is a factory radio,whenever you remove the battery the radio goes into a locked mode.You need to call a Buick dealer to get the unlock code and have them tell you how to do it.Write down the code for the future possibilities too.Good luck! Greg

Im having the same issue ..and actually seen this issue on alot of message board or websites..starting to think its a manufacture issue

The power and ignition wires are crossed there are 2 wires that are important one is a memory wire this keeps your presets and the clocked stored this should have power on it at all times, sometimes the wire color is yellow blue, but never red. And then there the second wire this is only powered when the key gets turned this wire is red always red. My advice to you would be see what wire on the back of your radio is getting power all the time and switch it with the wire that only has power with the key on good luck

absolutely just make sure u get the right faceplate an wireharness

If aftermarket check the fuse on the radio, if factory its a good chance your radio has gone bad

sounds like that is the problem i think that you need a special harness go to this website: metraonline.com and look up your vehicle you should be able to find the harness at bestbuy or a car stereo shop not sure how much it could be. May be expensive.....
