Take one of the pins you're not using like illumination or antenna if you do not need it, just introduce a small pin or a needle in the from of the connector at the back part of the pin ( front part of the pin is the side where the connector join) and slide the pin out from the back side (wire side) just be careful no to hurt your self, one you pull this pin out introduce it to the pin side you missed.
Do not confuse with this wire at the time to install it or better mark it.

the 22r and 22re engines are getting harder to find. so the cost of used is increaseing. rebuilt can be as much as $3500.00

When my 99 camry has just under half a tank of gas

You may have water in the tank, try adding some water remover (any auto parts store) its only a couple of bucks, also you may have a bad in tank fuel filter/sock that's clogged and in need of replacing. Last the fuel pump may be going and if your gonna remove the tank I would recommend replacing it anyway.

Im using a metra cf-ajlo line out converter , what does the brown wire on the outputside go to ?

It’s a ground, if your amp still won’t turn on after u finished installing Then use brown one as a ground and ground it to the same one as your amplifier.

I have a 2006 lincoln Navigator with the THX sound system. I need a colored wiring diagram so I can replace the head unit and hopefully retain the factory door speakers and amp. I already have my JL Audio 12s and amp ran to the back. So I am not gonna use the factory sub or that amp. Any help would be great. I was told to use a metra harness and I got nothing. Just want to splice into factory harness from my new head unit.

You can buy an aftermarket radio harness adapter for your Navigator from ebay quite cheaply. I would not recommend butchering the factory wiring to install a replacement head unit. I found this one (will work as long as your Lincoln wasn't fitted with SATNAV) -
