here is how you factory data reset your phone:

  1. Power off the G1
  2. Hold Home Key + End key for 20 seconds or until you see a "triangle with an exclamation point and a picture of the G1"
  3. Open the QWERTY keyboard and hit Alt+W
  4. Restored!

If you just need temp access and you can log into the google account associated with phone. Then you can: (With phone on) go to play.google.com from a pc. log in. and search for lock screen bypass. select your device and choose install. give it a few minutes to complete. reboot phone and wait for a bit and you will see the screen lock bypass app show up. click add admin account. sometimes it will throw you back to lock. just reboot and do it again. once you are at screen lock bypass app after adding admin account press BACK (pressing home will usually result in lock screen). And when you first boot phone its good to wait at least 2 - 3 minutes before pressing back to home screen. (I see better result and less lockscreen hiccups.) once you are finished you can reboot phone again and when bypass pops up you can uninstall from there. While in backup your dataicon1.png and do a factory data reset afterwords to get back into your phone properly. Good Luck

You have to take it to where you have an account. There is no bypass. Once they verify it's your phone , they will reset it for you. That's to stop people from stealing someone's phone and bypassing the protection. Makes sense right?

Ok, So I just had the same thing happen to me last night and I just fixed it. It'll take 2 people to do it. I went on to my gmail and changed my pattern, after a few minutes my phone had a triangle with an exclamation mark come up in the notifications bar. Don't bother turning off your phone...mine didn't reset for the pattern after 7 hours of being turned off. At this point, once you get that triangle, get someone to call your phone, it'll unlock it for a few minutes. Just long enough for you to change the password on your phone by clicking into that arrow. Then your phone will lock again after the call is done. Put the new password into your phone again on this screen. Then it'll ask you to draw another pattern. Draw something simplistic, then if you want to take it back off just go back into your settings and remove the lock....just remember your pattern this time! hope this helps!

how can I unlock my screen pattern....I accidentally forgot it and doesnt accept my gmail account

HTC Google... | Answered on Mar 30, 2014

It's a data usage message. Going over your data. Or a failed download or message etc. Pull down notification bar by touching the top of the screen and pulling down. Should show up on the screen why there's a triangle.

Corrupted software

It isn't often that Apple gives specific directions about how to fix your problem! Restoring the iPhone 4 will erase everything on it, so make sure everything on the iPhone 4 is stored elsewhere prior to restoring. To restore, connect your iPhone 4 to a computer with iTunes installed. Click "Restore" on the iPhone 4 summary page (click on your iPhone icon on the left menu to find this page). Follow the directions to restore. If your iPhone 4 displays the text "Please wait. Very Low Battery," leave it plugged in. This charges the iPhone 4 enough to be able to restore. If the iPhone 4 hangs on this screen for long periods of time, you may need a new battery.

Force restore mode

If your iPhone 4 is hanging with an Apple logo, or exhibiting some other software problem that prevents iTunes from recognizing it, you can force it into recovery/restore mode and then use iTunes to restore the software.
If the device is powered off, plug one end of your USB cable into the iPhone 4 and leave the other end disconnected. Press down on the Home button, and keep holding it down while you plug the USB cable into your computer. After 5-10 seconds, you should see a "Please Connect to iTunes" image on the iPhone 4, and iTunes should prompt you to restore the software; follow the prompts and the instructions given above.
If the device is powered on, hold down both the power and home buttons until the device reboots and displays the "Connect to iTunes" image (generally, 5-15 seconds).
God bless you

You must get the latest firmware installed. that should stop it getting hanged. And I hope you are not running additional programs in the background. If yes then stop some of them as they may be eating into your RAM and thus giving less breathing space to the phone to handle calls and the phone hangs.

You'll need to purchase an unlock code.
You will probably find a number of companies via google a I have used a couple, which I'm not sure I'm allowed to post here so I recommend you visit Unlock-Zone.com, which is nearly perfect and they were recommended highly in the cell phone forums.
Click the unlock your phone and select the mobile phone, current service provider to get the available unlocking service which ranges from $5 to about $25, depending on the model of phone you have.
