in my manual it says the yellow goes to the terminal marked S this is also the terminal that will get the motor going if you put a wire from the battery + to (the other one will do nothing, no damage or anything!) the orange (tan in the manual) goes to the R terminal. This gives full battery power to the coil when the starter is cranking.

yam water pumps are clever the offste centre causes the pump vanes to flex during rotation and at low RPM you have a displacement type pump, at high RPM water pressure forces the vanes to flex inwards and the pump becomes centrifugal, you can fit the impellar either way up so you cant fit it wrongly make sure your gaskets are ok and that the delivery pipe to the power haed is not leaking (try a hose on it) also make sure the little woodruff key or on some models the pin through the drive shaft which turns the pump is fitted ok, not much else that can be wrong!

when the engine is running there is a repeated 4 beep alarm every 5 to 10 min. i have talked to several repair shops and they are unsure of the problem. what is the proper solution to fixing this alarm?

You will need to use a voltmeter to test the wires. Ground one side of the voltmeter and check the wires with the other. One of the wires should give you the constant positive voltage. This wire should go to bat. Using the positive wire you found above check to see, by touchiung other wires to the 1st wire, which will give you ignition and which tries to "start" the engine. My educated gues would be that the purple will be your starter wire which will go to the sol, the orange will go to acc, and yellow with red will go to bat.

It sounds to me that you may have it wired wrong. The green wire is typically the right turn signal. The basic colors-function are typically:
Yellow-Left turn/Stop, Green- Right turn/Stop, Brown-Running Lights, and White-Ground(earth)

get a bulb and attach to wires run one to chassis to car and touch each output while someone switches on lights ot follow wire form output to the lights thay are connected to process of elimination, if car is "canbus" then proberly module
