I have a pronto m6 , I replaced the batteries and it will move and turn ok but is real slow and no power .

Test the battery voltage at the joystick where a programmer or charger would plug in. There are 3 holes, the top or number one hole is the positive hole for a voltage meter to plug into and the bottom or number two hole is the negative hole for the volt meter. Plug in the meter and see what the voltage is when sitting still and keep the meter in and see what the voltage does while you are driving the chair. The voltage should not drop more than 1 or 2 volts from that which you had when the chair was not moving. If the voltage drops more than that then there is a problem with charging or the new batteries. If the voltage remains good then the joystick or speed knob control could be the problem.

Invacare what does it mean when light on charger continually blinks red when charging, It wont move

The red light is the power light and if the red light is blinking the charger is bad or the wiring is bad on the chair or the batteries are bad. Usually it's the charger.

My son has a invacare chair should go 6 mph but has slowed to a snails crawl. How Can I speed it back up?

The chair may be in what they call SLOW MODE or the batteries are weak. If you have powered seating on the chair the seat has sensors that make the chair drive slow or not drive at all when the seat is tilted or reclined or raised. A sensor can go bad or get out of position. The joystick could have different programming for different drive modes. Try changing drive modes.

What does 1 red flash followed by 5 green flashes mean on a Pronto M6

1 red + 5 green is left parking brake fault. This is a pretty generic code and can be something as simple as the brake/clutch lever is in free-wheel, or it can mean something more significantly wrong, depending on how it is wired in this model. (We don't work with Prontos a lot here.)

Help I stupidly got my

The M61 has an elevating seat. There is a speed limit switch which consists of 2 magnets that make contact under the seat on the seat post. If the 2 magnets are together then the chair thinks the seat is all the way down. If the magnets aren't touching it activates a safety feature in the controls which cuts power to the chair by 50% hence drives real slow. Try lowering the elevating seat down through the joystick controls. If that doesn't fix it then either the magnet switches on the seat post came unplugged or broke.

Pronto M6 chair will not work. When the power

Phil the red means battery is low and the green is a speed limit code because of the low battery if you have charged your batteries and you still get the red then you need to check the charger after charging all night does the yellow light on the charger turn green? if when you first plug in the charger if the red light is on and the other light is green then there is a problem with the wiring or connection to the batteries from the charger and you aren't charging the batteries. if when you plug the charger in and you get a red and yellow light then the charger is working but you don't ever ge a green light and the battery level gauge is still showing red then you need to replace the batteries Hope this helps

Hi, I need some help here. My Aunt uses a Pronto

The Mk6 spj w/pss has an overlay with buttons over the sensors. The functionality is very much like a microwave keypad. These buttons go bad over time and you can replace the overlay for under $20. When you press the buttons they contact some inductive sensors on a circuit board underneath which induces a current flow in the sensor. The pads flatten out over time and dirt, oil and food can accumulate under the pads between the pad and sensor. This causes decreased sensitivity and poor function of the buttons. You may be able to carefully remove the overlay and clean it and the underlying circuit board with spray electronic cleaner. This works for awhile, but I usually just replace the overlay. The new overlay comes with a new layer of adhesive. Hope this helps.

Make sure all of your connections are tights and the your fuses do not need to be replaced.

Blinking lights on the controller usually indicates a problem, the number of blinking lights are used to diagnose the problem. Take a look at this website to identify the type of controller you have on your scooter so you can dtermine what the blinking lights are trying to indicate.

You can visit this website to find answers on what the flashing trouble indicator lights mean: http://www.pgdt.com/scenter/diagnostics/diagvsi.html
Locate the page that has the controller used on your power chair/scooter and count how many lights are flashing to diagnose the trouble. If your insurance purchased the power chair for you, they may also cover the repairs; contact them for information.
Good luck!

Pronto m61 sure step Unit stopped

ceejay a 9 flash error code usually means a brake fault. But a brake fault will not cause the chair not to power up. Check all your connections especially where the cable comes out the back of the joystick and where that same cable plugs into the cable to the controller. Sometimes the switch on the joystick fails to make good contact with the circuit board in the joystick and you can try pushing it in different spots to see if will come on. Also check the circuit breaker to make sure it hasn't tripped. If you have a digital voltmeter you can set it on 200 volts dc and plug the leads into the two outter holes on the charger port located under the front of the joystick. You should be reading the battery voltage and fully charged get 25-27 volts. If you don't get any reading then there is a problem in the cable or joystick or power from the batteries. You didn't say if Medicare paid for your chair. If they did they will pay for most of the repair costs. If they did you can contact Repair Xpress @ 1-877-581-3733 or Roadrunner Mobility @ 1-800-467-2668 to have a tech come out to check your chair. Hope this helps you

How do I take out the battery?

The seat has to be removed first. Becareful to not pull the wires out of the joystick, unplug the joystick if possible. The batteries (2 of them) are located under the black plastic shroud that is under the seat. Be sure to rewire and install the batteries exactly the way they were.
