Can i lock the controls on my jazzy 1121

This is taken from the owner's manual from the 1121 with a VSI controller:

I suggest you print this out and keep it handy.Locking/Unlocking the VSI

The VSI has a feature that enables you to

lock your power chair to prevent unauthorized use.

To lock the VSI:

1. With the VSI switched on, press and hold the on/off key. After 1 second, the VSI should beep.

2. Release the on/off key.

3. Push the joystick to the full forward position until the VSI beeps.

4. Pull the joystick to the full rearward position until the VSI beeps.

5. Release the joystick. There should be a long beep.

6. The VSI is now locked.

To unlock the VSI:

1. Press the on/off key and power on the VSI. The maximum speed/profile indicator should ripple up and down.

2. Push the joystick to the full forward position until the VSI beeps.

3. Pull the joystick to the full rearward position until the VSI beeps.

4. Release the joystick. There should be a long beep.

5. The VSI is now unlocked. NOTE: If the above procedure fails to either lock or unlock the VSI, contact your authorized Pride Provider.

My jazzy 1121 is not

candy probably a battery issue but it could also be a charger problem also If the batteries had gotten really low then the charger is not designed to pickup really low voltages. If possible have your provider (Where you got the chair) check the batteries and charger for you Hope this helps

Jazzy 1121 power chair won't charge when plug in

you have either bad batteries or a bad charger or the charger might have come unplugged at the controller or power module. When you have the charger plugged in and you turn on the joystick the lights on the joystick should ripple to indicate the charger is plugged in. If you don't see this ripple then either the charger is bad or disconnected. Trace the charger cable from the rear of the chair (you have to remove the seat and shroud to do this) to the front module and make sure that the cable is plugged in. Hope this helps

Llightw start flasHing and chair will not move.

You can visit this website to find answers on what the flashing trouble indicator lights mean: http://www.pgdt.com/scenter/diagnostics/diagvsi.html
Locate the page that has the controller used on your power chair/scooter and count how many lights are flashing to diagnose the trouble. If your insurance purchased the power chair for you, they may also cover the repairs; contact them for information.
Good luck!

I have an older version od the 1121 but cannot

I believe the older versions had a release lever and cable system at the rear center. This was a 2 step, 2 handed on your knees process to release the lock on lever with your left hand and pull out and turn the lever with your right hand. This pulled on the cables to both motors to disengage the freewheel levers

1 red and 3 amber

The number of lights that are blinking indicate what the problem is. Visit this site to locate the type on controller on your power chair and you will be able to see that the blinking lights mean:
http://www.pgdt.com/scenter/diagnostics/diagvsi.html
Try to reset your manual brake release as this is a common problem.
The powerchair going in circles may indicate a motor is bad and needs to be replaced.
If you continue to have a problem, contact your manufacturer or dealer for service. If your insurance purchased they power chair for you, they may also cover the cost of repairs.
Good luck!

Can the speed of the Jazzy Power chair be

Make sure that your tires are properly inflated and that you are not carrying more weight than the power chair will allow and that your batteries are fully charged.
If you got your chair second hand, sometimes the previous owner has the technician change the controller settings to "dampen" it to slow it down to allow them greater response time and control. The technician can reprogram the controller to take it back to 100%. If you got the power chair new, it should be at 100% already.
Take it easy, HotRod. It's a medical device, not a car!
Good luck!
