My malibu transformer has a reset button on the back near the terminal connections. If the transformer is on (time displays on the panel) but the light fixtures are not lit, look for the reset button on the back and depress it.

you need a bigger supply. 14 lights at 20w each running in parallel is 280w.
if you are running anything bigger than that, then you need a supply at less 360w or better.

1) Problem could be transformer voltage and/or length-and-diameter of wire.

3) Unclear what is meant by 1st half and 2nd half of lights.
Do not connect transformers in parallel or series with each other.
Test across terminals A and B and see if it shows 12 Volts. If voltage is less, then power pack is not functioning correctly.
Power pack wattage must match total wattage of bulbs.
First bulb must be 10 feet away from transformer.

If timer dial is no longer rotating, the clock motor is bad.
There are no replacement clock motors for Intermatic/ Malibu.

Work around problem: buy cheap plug-in timer, set power pack to override, and plug power pack into cheap timer.

Instead of 2 seperate wires run 1 long continuous wire & splice each light into it as you go along.There will be less resistance & the last light will be almost as bright as the first with very little difference in between.

It sounds like the button contacts aren't making good contact. If you can get behind them you can spray them with electrical switch cleaner. ..

Press P (program )on the timer and display will show then change the desired day, time and minute using the D+, H+ and M+ buttons. Press P again to set up another program and repeat the second step as above

Clear memory by pushing the reset button on the timer then reprogram using your current schedule when you want the timer to go off/on. Use the day and clock buttons for this then press enter

No, the timer should not make any noise. The noise should be a result of loose connections which cause arcing, which can make a humming or buzzing sound. If you find that you still notice the sound, even when the main breaker is off then the problem is not electrical in nature.
