Takagi tk4
I have a Takagi T-KJr2-IN-NG blinking "99" The heater isn't doing anything when hot water is turned on. I checked the breaker. I checked the intake/exhaust is all clear. It is installed in a closet although there is no door, just a cased opening... so it seems ventilation should be fine. We built this house about 8 months ago and the water heater has been working well during that time. There was a lot of dust that probably settled during the transition from building to living in it although it looks clean within the WH box. Grateful for any help solving this.

What is the little air valve(?) at the end of my expansion tank for? Do I need to do any maintenance on it?
Normally for adding air to the bladder. Only add air if your pressure of low. Look at your paperwork of on the unit to see what it should be. The bladder pushes water out of the tank.

Recently, the unit will shut down and I have to reset the system. The blower kicks on and then the ignitor and it will work fine for a few days and then I will have to repeat the process.
Had a similar problem with my boiler. Turned out the blower was bad, was running too fast, and the system was shutting down with an error message. Was expensive to replace.

Hi I have a Vaillant Ecotec Pro 24 combi boiler and Today wen I put the central heating on the symbol did not come on then I took mains off then put it back on after that it came on but every 9 minutes it switches off for 1 min then comes back on :/ is that normal as I’ve never noticed this before also an egg timer symbol comes on when the heating switches off
