you posted and engine to computersi moved you to briggs.tour?lighting ?why not tell folks first what you have,then a goal.and question.posted 2 times,tour is torque,and lighting was, pattern, and staging matters too.3 things, or it will fail.

Hello,
My name is Dane and I am going to help you solve your problem.
Too set the gap for the coil get a regular buisness card and use it as a feeler gauge. Loosen the bolts to the coil. Rotate the flywheel so the magnets are next to the coil. Slide the buisness card in between the coil and the flywheel magnets and make sure the coil is tight against the card.
Now tighten down your coil bolts and remove the busisness card. Turn the flywheel at least 1 complete turn and make sure it doesn't hit the coil. You're done!!!

There should be a single wire that runs from the voltage regulator to the ignition switch. There are usually two more wires on this regulator that run under flywheel to the alternator coil. Use this Wie as the input or + on guage. Then make a wire to connect the other guage terminal to the Ign. Switch.

Did you also empty the fuel from the carb bowl. It may have some water in it which came in from the gas tank. Be careful not to break round gasket. Good Luck Friend.
