Programmable Hunter 44150B display has "?" Above heat. What does this mean?

The "?" symbol above the "heat" setting on a programmable Hunter 44150B thermostat display indicates that there is a problem with the heating system. The thermostat is unable to detect whether the heating system is working correctly or not. There could be several reasons why the thermostat is displaying the "?" symbol above "heat", such as:
  1. The thermostat may be malfunctioning and unable to properly communicate with the heating system.
  2. The heating system may be experiencing an issue or malfunction, which is causing it to not work properly.
  3. The thermostat may not be properly connected to the heating system, which is causing communication errors.
To troubleshoot this issue, you can try the following steps:
  1. Check the heating system to see if it is working properly. If it is not, you may need to call a professional technician to diagnose and fix the issue.
  2. Check the wiring and connections between the thermostat and the heating system to ensure they are properly connected.
  3. Reset the thermostat by turning off the power to the thermostat for a few minutes and then turning it back on. This can sometimes resolve communication errors.
If these steps do not resolve the issue, you may need to contact a professional technician to diagnose and fix the problem with your heating system or thermostat.

Fan lights just started blinking, we changed bulbs

This problem was posted on several sites, but this was the only one where I found both the cause of the problem and the solution. Mine is a Hunter 5 Minute Fan which came with no remote. And after about a month the two lights would blink together whenever I'd turn them on at the wall. So in case it helps for that type of fan or the same type of wiring arrangment here is what I did: POSITIVE SIDE: P1) Remove the light shade. P2) Remove the 3 screws that hold the cowel and lower the cowel. P3) Disconnect (pull apart) the black and red wire coupling. P4) Cut the coupling off of the black wire that comes up from the lights. P5) Strip off a quarter inch of jacket from that black wire. P6) Remove the wire nut that connects the black wire coming from the governor with the other black wire. P7) Re-use the wire nut to connect the black wire from step P5 with the other black wire from step P6. NEGATIVE SIDE: N1) Disconnect (pull apart) the white to white wire coupling. N2) Cut the coupling off of the white wire that comes up from the lights. N3) Strip off a quarter inch of jacket from that white wire. N4) Remove the wire nut that connects the white wire coming from the governor with three other white wires. N5) Set the governor aside (or just throw it away). N6) Re-use the wire nut to connect the white wire from step N3 with the other white wires from step N4. That's all, you're pretty much done! Turn on the power and test the light. If all is good, re-install the cowel and the light shade.

I have. Hunter model 99122. How do you reverse the fan direction with the remote

If you have this kind, it is actually INSIDE the lighting housing. Remove the glass dome, and there is a little slide switch next to one of the bulbs. Such a bad design, but, yeah . . . .

I have a Hunter air purifier model 30010 and it's fan is making noise. I cannot find any way to take it apart to see if I can clean the fan assembly or WD-40 it. Even YouTube has nothing. Ideas?

Looking at the images, I would imagine there are screws in deep sockets accessed from the base that hold the top and bottom section together. Sometimes they are hidden under rubber feet or under small removable plastic plugs. https://www.google.com/search?q=hunter+air+purifier+model+30010+disassembly ..

How To oil hunter fan catalog 22272-004. Can't find my 1980 owners manual which used to give instructions.

Checking OilCheck oil level immediately after fill- ing the reservoir. To check oil, bend an ordinary pipe cleaner into a 1/2" long hook and dip it into the oil reser- voir. If oil touches the end of the pipe cleaner, the fan has ample oil. If it does not touch, add SAE 10 non-detergent oil slowly until it touches the pipe cleaner.Your Original Hunter's unique lubricating systemThe bearings are submerged in a bath of oil. The oil moves up a spiral groove in the shaft, lubricating all bearing surfaces as the fan operates. This Lubrication System does not normally "use up" or require the addition of extra oil once the oil reservoir has been filled to the correct level. This unique lubrication system is one reason your Original Hunter Ceiling Fan will last a lifetime. It is highly unlikely that you will ever need to add oil to your Original fan once it is installed. Should you move your fan to another location, it is a good idea to check the oil reservoir. Hunter has developed an accessory 'Original Relocation Kit' that includes all mounting hardware and a fresh tube of oil for this reason. The model number is 22360.CAUTION: DO NOT TURN FAN ON UNTIL LUBRICATION HAS BEEN ADDED. TO OPERATE THE FAN WITHOUT OIL OR WITH LOW OIL WILL VOID YOUR WARRANTY Adding oilYour fan has been shipped withoutoil in the motor. A 1-ounce tube ofhigh grade SAE 10 non-detergent oilis packaged in the sack parts. All theoil in the tube must be put into thefan. Cut the tip off the tube and place the tube into the oil hole. To avoid overflowing during filling, allow oil to gravity flow about one minute to fill the oil reservoir. (It may be necessary to puncture the tube to allow air in.)

Is a 4 uf 250 an acceptable replacement for a 4 uf 350 on a hunter fan

Since I cannot see the fan I will take a safe answer and say probably not. The manufacturer spent more for the 350V capacitor, they had a reason. You can go to a higher voltage that would be OK.
