I have a Fantom 500

The type of bagless that has sharp turns in the hose and plastic parts are easy to become stopped up. You have to follow the path of the air flow to find the blockage.

Not picking up, not getting any suction.

try to clean the filter out. I have a similar vacuum and I clean mine out and wash the filter out. Leave the filter to dry overnight before you use it again.

If this fails try figure out if there is something blocking it so it is not able to **** in air. message back if this does not work.

Also take the bottom off and look for obstruction and anything that is not in place

Willnt pick up good...

I had this problem once too. When the hose is inserted into the vacuum, the floor unit (where the spinning brushes are) becomes the head of the vacuum. In other words, the suction goes through the floor part and then up through the hose and into the vacuum. If the suction is good when the hose is out, the the problem is blockage at the bottom piece. Take the cover off of the rollers (it is one screw then it pops right off) and see if there is a bunch of lint/hair/gunk blocking the suction hole. You could also take the hose part out of the vacuum and look down the empty shaft with a flashlight and see if you see anything there. Hope this helps!

Fantom twister 500DX

Take off the bottom plate (where you would access the belt). Put the wheel
back on, put the screw back in the wheel and looking from the underside
of the vacuum you can see the screw. You need a bolt and preferably a
lock washer and that should hold it for you.

Vaccum

Sounds like the motor is overheating and thermalling out (Hight Temp shut down). This could be caused by overfilled cannister, obstructed passageways, or debris accumulated around the motors cooling fan. Try emptying the catch container and blow out / clean all the filters. Check for obtructions by going to the hose mode and alternately blocking and uncovering the nozzle end - feel for good suction and listen for a definite change in motor sound (Pitch Change) With the intake open, the motor should rev freely, when blocked it will slow and sound labored / loaded down. Another possible cause could be a binding brush roller overloading the motor - but this will usually burn out the belt first. Notice any unusual smells? Burned belts stink like burnt rubber.

Clogged

You can call your manufacturer of the vaccuum cleaner and get some help. Or try unplugging it and turn it upside down and beging taking it apart. Take the brush out and then work your way to the motor. There maybe something lodged up in by the brush. Also check in the bag department and look in the hole where the bag is installed. You may have some luck there. Good luck.

Vacuum hepa gets hot

Carol, Have you checked to make sure that all of the filters have been cleaned so that you have good air flow? The HEPA filter is your final exhaust filter and if your motor is getting hot because of poor air flow, it will cause the HEPA filter to get hot as well. Hope this helps!

I have a Fantom Thunder TH469KA and it shuts off after 5-10 min of running How do I fix this?

on all vacuum cleaners the air flow cools the motor. If the filter is sufficiently clogged there would not have enough air flow to cool the motor and trips out from over heat. Clean out the filter thoroughly and try again.
