My Clarke 130en is feeding correctly, but it is spurting and popping like popcorn.

You may not have a good ground or you may need to turn the voltage up for this grade of wire. Check the ground cable at the machine and where the ground wire connects to the ground clamp.

Maxus pro-140 feed motor feels like it pulses

Try cleaning the feed rollers and the groove in the rollers. The liner may also need to be replaced or lubricated. This is also a problem when you need to replace the tip.

Instruction manual for Chicago electric flux welder serial number 3817-37147-2076

First Im'm not a Chicago Machine representative. * check your warranty or ID plate for contact info. * Call for support. *** Following is for information only.*** * Though there is no model number. Most of the info comes up as a 90 amp welder. These welders are very common. They are available under different brands and distributors. They are all from China. * Wire Welder, 90 Amp Flux Chicago Electric Welding - Item#68887; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8GS2IvTlRw * $99 125 amp welder. Worth it? new 90 a. I wish I bought the 110 VAC stick welder. I know it's less power but it's way simpler to use and set up. More fun but really ugly welds. But I get the same result with the Mig but with more hassle. * Here is the manual for yours; https://manuals.harborfreight.com/manuals/68000-68999/68181.pdf * Have fun! Aloha, ukeboy57

Hello i just bought a used ya219b snap on mig welder, the problem I'm having is its wore word feed motor is not working when i pull the trigger to run the wire through the welding cable ,i can hear the wire feed motor go on but moves very slow not even feeding the wire i move the wire speed and nothing same slow movement not sure what to do next thank you ahead of time

possible reasons include worn liner in cable grabbing wire, worn size wire for the rollers fitted , wire speed not fast enough ( adjust) wrong size wire for the liner in use rust off the wire jamming the wire in the liner

My welder starts up just fine but after welding a little the fan starts to slow down and stops. wondering if there is something i can check

* Check your warranty and call for service. *** Following is for information only *** * welders require cooling of the power diodes used to convert AC (alternating current) to DC (Direct current). * The fan can be DC powered but it's common to have a common AC fan. They are usually connected to a control board to turn on when things get hot. * But this control is really not required as the fan should always be on even when not welding as any residue heat needs to be removed for continuous or longer duty cycles. (how long can you weld without stopping.) * D.I.Y. People tend to upgrade the fan with a heavy duty blower or at least a larger (higher CFM) fan if it can be mounted in or on the welder. * Lots of upgrade examples on you tube. * Need Brand and model number for specific information. * Here is a sample of common upgrades; * Tips, Tricks, upgrades; https://www.youtube.com/user/WeldFever/featured * Trouble shooting; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ahf2oggp8qY * Extend Duty Cycle; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HK4KcYmBGDc * Final, If your not sure. Be safe, call for service. Aloha, ukeboy57

Powerland pdw210e motor runs but no power output for welder or electric sockets.

This is basically a home type emergency generator. It is anybody's guess as what is wrong. If the covers were off and I was there with a meter I bet I could tell you the problem . Could be brushes stuck, a bad regulator, or bad exciter diode, depending on the design.

I bought a Mishto 220 MIG welder and the wire feed is too slow and the minimum current is too high for sheet metal (1.5mm mild steel sheet). Can these functions be adjusted ?

You say the current is too high. What is the problem that makes you say that? Is it trying to burn through? What does the control panel label say? Something like power and another that says wire feed speed? The current is a function of wire speed. The faster you feed the wire, the more current is drawn from the machine. To get less current drawn, you must slow down the wire. After this is getting better, you may have to change the other control that actually is a voltage control. Too high a voltage give too much heat for the thickness of the metal and too low will not let the bead lay down and look nice. Let me know if you are happy with the way it works now. P.S. It will work much better with .025 wire. 035 wire will be too large for 1.5mm material.

Help! I bought my husband a Marquette Reid-arc welder.. the man said it worked and I have got it home. It will not even come on. It’s 110. From what I can tell it’s. 32w spit welder. It has a lot of places to plug in the leads.. Can someone give me a starting place.

Sorry I can't help much. I am not familiar with the device. A genuine arc welder of that vintage will be heavy and bulky as it would contain a heavy duty transformer. There have been devices and gadgets that attempted to offer the advantages of an arc welder without the disadvantages of bulk, weight and expense, with varying degrees of success. I expect your device is not complete. In my limited experience such devices had a special electrode holder that vibrated during use. This allowed an arc to be produced and welding to be possible without the large current and voltage flow a transformer would provide.
