Hi, I do a lot with these bikes, I think if you are getting a weak spark there is a couple things to check. First, do you understand how it builds the power to create the spark? The magnet in the flywheel has to be very close to the magnito or coil, if the gap is too much it will cause a weak spark, if the magnet is weak, weak spark, if the coil is shorting internally, weak spark. If the plug wire is damaged, weak spark. I hope this helps you.

I would eliminate the remote system. Cut all the wires going to it and connect the same color wires together. don't worry about the black wire.

what you do to find it is remove the spark plug and put your finger over the hole. slowly turn the engine over until you feel the air blowing past your finger. Then look in the hole, you will see the piston coming to top dead center.

you need to open the screw on the carberator prolly a 1/4 turn

eliminate the control unit by cutting all the wires and connect same color wires together.

The ignition switch is open until you turn it on. To hot wire one of these machines you simply cut the wires to the ignition and twist them together.

chances are the carburetor is set too lean, turn the screw all the way in and then back it out 1 1/4 turns, then adjust in 1/4 turn increments to get it running at peak performance.

It is known as a bench setting that you need to know I believe. What you do is turn the screw all the way in and then back it out 1 and 1/4 turns. that is the starting point, you may need to back it out a 1/4 turn to get it to run better. Essentially you work in 1/4 turn increments.

Do you have spark? easy test is to pull a plug wire, hold it close to metal with a stick or other non conductor. DON'T USE A SCREWDRIVER or other metal object. IF you have spark then its a fuel problem, check the tank, remove the fuel line into the carb, getting fuel? If all else fails take your Yamaha to the local dealer for correct repair

chances are the carb is not set properly. turn the screw on the carb all the way in then back it out 1 1/4 turns. as a trick you can spray WD40 in the carb to start it too. if you can get Either, that works best. you may need to adjust the screw to get it to run at peak performance. adjust it in 1/4 turn increments.

One is ground the other goes to the kill switch which is ultimately a ground too. It will have power on it when cranking but when you switch it to shut down it grounds it so the coil can't build voltage.

One wire from battery to switch, a wire out the other side of switch to horn. Make sure horn has a good connection on the frame. Sand or remove all paint from under the horn for a good ground.
