My pentsir clorinator seems to not be working, my
There can be a couple of reasons for this issue. First, have you had your water tested lately? In the manual, there are specific levels of chemicals that need to be watched so the unit will work more effiecently. Another item is have you cleaned the unit lately? If not, try to clean it. First with the garden hose on high pressure, if you have tried this, then it is time for a chemical bath.
To do one of these, you will need muriatic acid, water, two buckets, and a freezer bag and rubber band- if you do not have the chemical cleaning accessory kit. You will need to mix the acid and water in a 1 to 4 part mixture, 4 parts water to 1 part acid, in one of the buckets. Then turn off the pool system, if you have the check valve in front of the IC, close that also. Then remove the unit from the piping, on one end you will see a metal piece-looks like a flap hanging down- this is the flow meter for the unit. On the end with this, take the freezer bag and lay it across the opening, put the rubber band around the bag, this will make the cleaning MUCH easier. Once that end is sealed, place the unit, with the sealed side DOWN into the other bucket. Then pour the acid mix into the cyclinder, make sure to cover all the inside of the unit. You can wait five minutes, or until the bubbling stops, before pouring the mixture out of the cell. Rinse the unit with the garden hose and reconnect it. See if this helps, but I would DEFINATELY have the water levels checked first.
If you can give more details, like are there any lights on, or off, on the unit? How long have you had the unit will help also.
