NO! You need to convert the wires to 120 as shown in the directions then wire in your 120V line and it will run normally.

Yeah, sounds like the bearings/bushings are shot.

Have you checked for voltage at the pump motor? Did you wire it correctly? Is the motor 110V or 220V. Did you match the motor to your existing voltage?

Your best solution is to take it to a local small motor repair shop and have it rebuilt for under $100. Replacement is about $300. There is almost nothing you can do on your own... Sorry

If your getting good pressure at the pump Then the next thing to check is the wall screen. It will be in the wall of the pool behind the quick disconnect fitting for the cleaner hose. This is proballoy the problem but if it is clogged it will clog again and you will need to find the cause to fix the problem. Good luck.

there is not a reset on the pump itself. It does have a high limit that shuts the motor off if it overheats but will reset on it's own when it cools down. Check to see if it might be tied in with a GFCI or a sub-breaker somewhere.

The label on the motor has a wiring diagram for both 110 and 220

Pull the back cap off the motor and hold the shaft as you spin off the impeller. The rest is straight forward enough.

Your bearing are failing. Replacing them and the seal at a local electric motor repair shop will likely cost around $50.

Get a screwdriver (or something strong like that) that is the diameter of the pipe only. Use a torch to heat it up and then press it into the pvc...might take a couple times to get a good indent, and then turn....it is threaded 3/4" pvc....some installers will actually glue this fitting in the pump - which render it unuseable in this situation....

o.k. we will call impeller front ok ? take back cover off look at end of shaft slot for screw driver? put screw driver in slot turn impeller off .

What is the make and model of the pump MOTOR and is it 120 or 240 volts?

Check for clogs at sweep inlet and check suction presser at skimmer or wall inlet. Make sure all your baskets are cleaned out. Mike.

I'm not sure which pump fails after 15 minutes. Is it the main pump or the booster pump? The main pump works fine but when the booster pump is activated, one of them fails. What happens if you leave the main pump on and only activate the booster pump? Will the booster pump run indefinitely as well? They both share the same supply line. What have you checked so far? How old are both pumps?Do you pumps sound normal? Do the pump motors get abnormally hot? Any recent repairs or new symptoms? Is there a shut off valve on the supply line that has been turned/moved? check the filter in the wall of the pool where the Polaris line hooks up, it got a small filter in it. you are running it on low-pressure that's why it not sweeping, could also be a plugged impeller on the booster pump. Jay the pool pump motor repair guy Longwood Florida
