Thats all dirt, skin, and sunscreen. Its gross but the best(not the easiest) is some good ol fashion elbow grease and a kitchen sponge. especially for vinyl pools

Make sure the selector on the filter is set to "filter" also check that there isn't any obstruction found in the intake pipe coming from the pool to the pump. Make sure the pre-filter basket just before the pump is clean and free from obstruction. Check all valving is open on the intake pipes and discharge pipes exiting the filter.

I started out with easy set pools a few years ago and finally gave up and went to their steel supported ones.

I have put up over 20 above ground Intex pools and have learned a few things in the process:

A: The larger the pool with the air ring at the top the more difficult it is to fill to its maximum potential.

B: Eventually the pool is going to collapse with people in it, especially if someone leans over the edge with their arms on it which is a perfectly natural thing to do.

C: It is virtually impossible to get an area beneath the pool level without scraping the ground and measuring it with, in your case, at least a 16' long 2"x4" on its edge with a level on it.

D: Trying to build up the ground on one side with sand will eventually result in collapse of the pool.

E: There is a type of stiff styrofoam ring that you can buy in sections to go around the bottom of the pools, but that will also result in collapse unless it is used for what it was developed, and that is a rigid wall pool.

F: Out of the three types of pools that Intex sell, the easy up with the air ring (the worst), the steel supported all the way around (next worse). and the rigid side, only the rigid side is forgiving to a tiny degree where unlevel ground is concerned.

For your size of pool everything must be exact and completely level or at one point it will collapse. There is little more discouraging than seeing all those gallons of water run out onto the grass. Once the water goes over the edge, no amount of people can prevent the collapse.

Finally I have learned that, with above ground pools, you get exactly what you pay for. My 5th above ground Intex pool was the best, but even with the ring around the edge at the bottom and the rigid side, I was still wasting my money unless the ground was aboslutely level. You just have to cut away the dirt until the level shows no angle.

I wish you all the luck. If you feel a desire, I have 5 Intex pools in my barn I will give to you if you pay the freight. Each was a dissapointment and a waste of time, energy, and above all, money.

I finally spent about $750 on one, had a professional crew level the ground, and it stays up through the winters even.

Not sure what your asking, have this pool and know the ground under pool must be LEVEL. fill up pool with 6-8 in make sure bottom is flat and rings are pulled out so that there are no creases in floor. Hope that helped

I usually run a water hose down the skimmer basket drain for a while until water is returning to the pool through the pump. I hope this helps.

What you appear to be asking is the volume of your Pool in gallons! Here is the formula and resulting answer:

Length X Width X average Depth X 7.5 (for rectangluar) (or 5.9 for a circle or oval)

You need to know 3 values:

The overall length in feet (assuming 42 on your note)
The overall Width in feet (assuming 16 on your note)
The average depth, take a depth measurement at 3-4 locations equally apart along the length from deep to shallow (or vice-versa) (example might 8ft, 6ft, 4ft, 3ft) add these measurements together and then divide the total sum by the number of depth measurements (example 4) this will be the average (example 5.25)

So the resulting formula would read 42 x 16 x 5.25 x 7.5 = 26,460 gallons for the example

So if your pool's average depth is about the same, then your volume is rounded to about 26,500

Your shock product should clearly state how much one bag will treat a given volume (example 10,000 gals) for regular treatment or shocking. Usually shocking involves doubling or even tripling the normal maintenance dosage, but check the product labels and instructions for manufacturer's recommendation.

Is the ground the pool is sitting on, level? If not, move the pool or use sand to create a level base for the pool.

Hayward makes the "Ladybug" pool vacuum that attaches to a standard pool filter inlet fitting. I have one for my 24' above ground pool.

Make sure the gasket is in place and do not cross thread the lid ring.

You should use granulated CL in this pool. Maintain CL at 5 ppm - check daily.
