I need more information, is the breaker for the spa on? does it have any power, and if so is there an error code on your topside display? if you can give me some more info I'd be glad to help.

The Pump pulsing is sounding like maybe there is not enough water in the spa to keep enough water to the front of the pump.
This is called 'cavatate" and is caused by lack of water to the front of the pump.
Also check the gate valves in front of the pump and the other side of the discharge of the pump to make sure they are completely open.
The Light issue sounds like maybe a relay on the circuit board could be bad or the transformer for the light is going out.

That doesn't sound good, is it 110 volts or 220? if it is 220 you can not wire it backwards. the hum might be that there is not enough power to turn it over. it could be a loose wire, bad connection, or a bad start run capacitor. if it is a capacitor it is located under the hump cover on the motor.

Depending on what type of flow switch is in the plumbing will determine how it is changed out.
These are usually glued into the plumbing line with no unions or gate valve on either side of it,
If this is the case for you tub then you will need to drain the tub or isolate it from the water so you can plumb in a new flow switch.
