When I press "Mode" the digital read out shows "SPK" then eventually reads "PLT". During the process I don't hear any sound from the system. I thought I would hear a clicking sound as the pilot tries to light the furnace. How do I troubleshoot the exact problem and find instructions to repair the system?
Well your right it is your ignighter the spk is spark the plt piolet light this pc is about 200 .

raypak pool heater 2100 not digital piliot light on but when turn heat on will not run. Checked breaker and is fine.
Make sure that gas control knob is set to ON (counterclockwise).
Make sure that ON/OFF switch is ON.
Check that temperature setting is high enough to call for heat.
Make sure pool pump is running and water is flowing to unit.
If not above there is a diagnostic procedure on page 33 of manual at:

I have a RayPak 2100 series digital pool heater, Model P-R335A-EN. I turned it on and everything worked fine, the burrner came on and cycled off. I turned the heater off at the switch on the side of the heater. Now I have turned it back on and the digital display reads ''EOL''. The owners manual says it means End of Line (Factory use only). What can I do to make it operational?
press the mode button until the display reads "off". Remove the four screws holding the control cover on. Swing panel down so that the back of the board is visible. Press the mode button until "RESfl" appear. Press and hold both "up" and "down" buttons for 5-7 seconds until three dashes appear (---). This resets the fault history and clears any stored faults.

RP2100 - screen error code shows RP5 what does it mean
Their should be no RP5 but their is a PR5 or rather a PRS only on the desplay the S looks like a 5. this means low pressure and will usually be a dirty basket on the pump or a dirty filter. It could also be a problem in the pressure switch on the heater but more often than not it will be a clloged basket or filter.

MY POOL HEATER KEEPS TURNING OFF FOR 2 MINIES AND THEN RUNS FOR 2.WHAT DO I DO
Hold your hand on the inlet manifold. If it is getting hot to the touch then it is a water flow problem and may be in the by-pass inside the manifold. This is a spring loaded valve that let's water pass the heat exchanger and go back out. If it is broken or stuck to much water goes past the heater and the water inside it boils and shuts the heater down. Then while it's off coller water flows in and it resets and goes through the cycle again. I hope this helps. Let me know.

I have a Raypak 2100 pool heater. The heater gives me a variety of error codes. Sometimes it comes on for a few minutes and then shuts off with the code HL2. Other times it won't come on and displays PRS. My filter baskets are all clean. When I turn on my filter I can hear water going through the heater with a swich sound. I suspect that this is cause by a low pressure problem or that some sort of valve is stuck close or only paritally open. At times it even sounded like something was banging around inside the heater. Does anyone know if there is an internal valve or some part that could have broken off or be clogging the heater?
Thanks
Well, I replaced the pressure switch with no joy. I tried all 5 levels of pressure 1-5 and every wiring combination. Finally, I returned the new $70 pressure switch and took the 2 wires and tied them together (jumped them). Here's the only downside...If you run your pump in backwash, recirc, waste, or any mode that would cause water to bypass the heater it MUST BE OFF. Otherwise, let it ride. It's working great and I hope to go into October weather permitting.

raypak 2100 pool heater " PRS " diagnostic reading What does it mean and how do i correct it
This is low pressure. Start by checking your baskets for clean then be sure to clean the filter. Then make sure the by-pass valve is closed and lastly if your pump basket is cracked or broken check to be sure nothing is clogging your impeller.

Raypak pool heater - error code is "FAN"
In models older than 07-07 it typically indicates a loss of the pilot light.
In models newer than 07-07 it is probably the air switch not being activated, or it has just failed. Check air switch tubing for secure connections.

what does error code ROL with "service" flashing mean?
ROL is a failure code for Roll Out Fuse. This is the ceramic tear drip shaped piece in the lower left side of the cabinet. There are a few reasons this may have tripped but it is almost never a failed part but rather a symptom of a larger problem. The possibilities in likely order are as follows;
1. Sooted heat exchanger from a lack of adequate fresh air or gas supply.
2. Spider web blocking one of last gas orifaces.
3. Down draft through heater (indoor application could be improper venting).
4. Bad wire or connection between fuse and pc board.
