It's worth trying, as I run version 5 on Win7-64

You can install it on win7-64 bit. But windows has its own cleaning tools. Plus the 3rd party cleaning programs have a high possibility of letting viruses into your computer.

try to install the Nero and give a try if still it dose not work then its confirm that the problem is with your CD ROM, replace the ROM and then your can burn your CD's

This product is from2003 and runs on XP. You have Vista. I'm afraid you don't have the drivers to run it.

Please download and install ImgBurner ->>http://fileforum.betanews.com/detail/ImgBurn/1128426215/1 and tell me if this program detects your CD/DVD RW. What operating system do you have?

This is gonna be a bit complicated since were going to access your registry, but just follow all the steps and it will be much easier
1. Click on START

2. Type regedit on the search bar on START Menu or the Run Box

3. Expand HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE

4. Expand SYSTEM

5. Expand CurrentControlSet

6. Expand Control

7. Expand Class

8. Click {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

9. Look for the Upper Filters / right click on it / click on Delete

10. Look for the Lower Filters / right click on it / click on Delete

11. Restart PC

12. Try you CD / DVD ROM
If nothing happens, click on this link then click on RUN and follow the steps, then restart computer and try to run a disc again, if still nothing happens, theres a possibility that the problem is with the hardware side or the media player that you are you using...

On the File menu you will find an option named "Export Audiotrack as WAV" as well as "Export Audiotrack as MP3". This will allow you to Save or Export the files you create as either the .wav format or the .mp3 format. Check your Help file, specifically page 86, if you need further information.

Most softwares and programs have compatibility issues with windows Vista and windows 7. The Steinberg cleane 5 happens to be one of these programs.
Although in windows 7 there is a solution for this but i have not tried it on vista. The procedure to be followed is this:
Select the setup file > Right click on it > select properties from the options > go to compatibility > select the option (Run this program in compatibility mode for:) > from the drop down list below that select Windows XP professional or service pack 3 > Click on Apply then OK.
After this try installing the program again.

I have the had the same problem with Vista and in continues with Windows 7. I believe the problem is with DRM Digital Rights Management that is part of the Microsoft OS culture "no copying copywrited material, period". Steinberg Clean can not be identified as having DRM support, so it will not install! It should work fine however on XP as long as DRM is not secrcetly part of any XP service pack! Again, this is purely my opinion. I stand corrected!

To install MPEG-4 Encoding/Decoding, you can try the following steps:

1. Go to the Pinnacle Studio 12 installation folder on your computer.
2. Look for a folder named "Redist" or "Redistributables".
3. Inside the "Redist" folder, look for a file called "MPEG-4_Codec.exe" or similar.
4. Double-click on the "MPEG-4_Codec.exe" file to run the installation process.
5. Follow the instructions provided by the installer to complete the installation.

If you cannot find the "MPEG-4_Codec.exe" file in the Pinnacle Studio 12 installation folder, you may need to download it from the internet. You can search for "MPEG-4 Codec download" in your preferred search engine and look for a trusted website to download it from. no PC told or OS no age of PC (windows 10 is it?) or MAC OR ? old PC have bad HDD and no bad HDD on earth can send data good to any DVD recorder, I presume DVD-R media. what does uscreencapture have to do with any of this.? sure you made your own video, of any kind and type of VAST. Or any video camera made ever. then that video file is on your HDD , NOW. i plays ok. (test 1) then I run HDD smart test to be sure HDD is good first. takes all of 5min work, to do . that or less if loaded, now. then burns work if the dvd-r is good and the DVD drive is not bad or just optically full of lint and fails. 100% free and safe. https://www.passmark.com/products/diskcheckup/ load that, run that see NO ERROR or you will fail if does. smart tests are first if data ever ever fails. we do that. I use Imgburn (free ) to burn mine, done for over a decade never 1 bad disk made.
