Tells different wieght each time
Does it tell you a different weight each time you weigh yourself in the same few times? Or day by day?
If its consecutive uses that give you different weights, if you're within 0.2kg, I wouldn't be surprised if the scale can't do better.
Otherwise, weigh yourself each day at the same time, and take an average of 3 weighings for the 'best' weighing.
Say it in English,not British
1. Turn the unit on.
2. At the same time, press and hold the "G" button and the power button.
3. While continuing to hold down the "G" button, release the power button.
4. Release the "G" button.
5. If you have done this correctly, the unit will power on. This procedure will switch back and forth between lbs. and kg.
My scale keeps giving me an err2 message. How do
1. Take out the battery
2. Put scale on hard surface
3. Stand on scale for five seconds
4. Put battery back in
5. Tap your foot on scale to make 00000 appear
6. When the 00000 disappear tap your foot on scale again and then stand on scale till your weight appears
If this does not work the first time (it has always worked the first time with my scale) the repeat the steps a second time. If the second time does not work call the company because something else is wrong.

SOLVED: Taylor 5798f scale wont turn on,i have new batteries
If your Taylor 5798f scale won't turn on even with new batteries, there could be a few possible reasons for this issue. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:
1. Check the battery placement: Make sure the batteries are inserted correctly, with the positive and negative ends aligned properly.
2. Clean the battery contacts: Sometimes, dirt or residue can accumulate on the battery contacts, preventing proper electrical connection. Use a clean cloth or cotton swab dipped in rubbing alcohol to clean the battery contacts.
3. Reset the scale: Look for a reset button or a small hole on the underside of the scale. Use a paperclip or a similar tool to press and hold the reset button for a few seconds. This may help reset any internal settings that could be causing the issue.
4. Replace the batteries: Even though the batteries are new, they could be faulty or have low power. Try replacing them with a different set of new batteries to see if that resolves the issue.
5. Contact customer support: If none of the above steps work, it's best to reach out to Taylor customer support for further assistance. They may be able to provide specific troubleshooting steps or guide you on how to get the scale repaired or replaced if necessary.
Remember to refer to the user manual or contact Taylor customer support for specific instructions related to your model of scale.
My Taylor digital model 5789FW is displaying err1 after the weight is taken. What causes that?
Step 1
Step lightly on the scale until it displays "--", "0000" and turns off if you receive the error "ERR0," which means the scale is not initialized. Initialization must occur after each battery installation.
Step 2
Set the scale on a flat, even surface, not on surfaces such as carpet if you receive an error "ERR1."
Step 3
Step off the scale and wait for it to reset before stepping on it again if you receive an "ERR2," which often means the unit was jarred or overloaded. Also, if you weigh more than the maximum weight capacity you will receive this error.
Step 4
Remove your shoes and socks and wet your feet slightly with a damp cloth if you receive the "ERR3" error. ERR3 is a contact error and your feet should ideally be bare and wet to achieve an accurate body-fat reading.
Step 5
Step off the scale and wait for it reset. Remove your shoes and socks and wet your feet slightly if you receive either the "ERR4" or "ERR5" errors, which means your body-fat or body measurements are out of range.
Step 6
Reset the scale if it doesn't work or you continue to receive error messages. Remove the battery and set the scale on a flat surface. Stand still on the scale for five seconds and step off. Re-install the battery and place the scale back on the flat surface. Place one foot on the scale until it displays zeros or dashes. Remove your foot and wait for the scale to turn off. Step back on the scale to weigh yourself.
Step 7
Replace the battery if you receive a "lo" or "bat" error.
On a Taylor 9857 bathroom scale I get 0000 display even after changing batteries What might be wrong?
FAQs - Scales
I received my scale and my first weight reading was really wrong. What happened?
The scale may need to be initialized. This process is necessary because the scale was moved during the shipping process. Initializing the scale "re-seats" the internal parts allowing the scale to find the correct "zero." Here is how to initialize your scale:
- Place the scale back on a hard surface floor.
- With one foot only, place just enough weight on the scale for the display shows zero's or dashes. Once you see zeros or dashes remove your foot.
- Wait for the scale to turn off again.
- Step up onto the scale for a weight.
Or, your scale may be on an uneven surface or on carpet. Be sure to place your scale on a hard, flat surface to get an accurate weighing.
