Dc inverter show fault light

Inverter has alarm sound and red indicator light is on, which indicates abnormal phenomena caused by overvoltage/undervoltage/overload/overtemperature. The machine should be switched off immediately. Check the cause of the abnormality; remove it and then access it. Usually, the buzzing alarm is caused by the low voltage of your battery (bottle) or DC power supply (less than 10.4V alarm of inverters). It is necessary to start the vehicle to start charging your car engine or charge your battery (bottle) through the charger. https://www.dieselgeneratortech.com/generator-set

What does ocp means on my 3000 watt powerdrive inverter

A little more context would have helped, but I strongly suspect that it is referring to Over Current Protection. That is to say, your inverter has built-in circuitry that will shut it down if you try to draw too much power from it. Think of it like the fuse or circuit breaker on your home wiring. The OCP for most inverters is re-settable - either automatically (that is, a few seconds after you remove the overload, it starts working again) or manual (a button to press, or you turn the inverter off and back on).

Can a sunny boy inverter work with a 10kv Generator?

First I assume that you thinking about kVa not KV? or you really have 10000 Volts generator? why would you like to add inverter? Considering your setup there is no need for inverter. the only way you need inverter is when you have dedicated battery bank. This way system would work this way. On sunny day you produce electricity to feed your house and charge battery bank using charger/inverter. Once solar panels atop producing electricity during night system automatically switches to inverter mode and you start using power from batteries. Once batteries goes low then generator kicks in and supply power to home and recharge batteries. Without dedicated batteries there is no use for inverter

My inverter goes into overload protection with no load on it.

I guess there is a short circuit in it. Check for shorted resistor or a shorted diode.

My Microtek inverter continues to charge my batteries even when it was fully charged , making the batteries to heat up significantly

As you know, excessive heat cooks batteries and good thing you caught that now ~ (in fact it's amazing that batteries don't cook inside engine compartments)! I suspect your Inverter may be out of warranty and if it is, will you consider a external solar panel regulator? This should limit the charge to your batteries and your Inverter... it's what I would do. Anthony

My vector 2500w inverter green light is on as normal then the red fault/charge light also comes on help any ideas

What does it show when a power inverter fault red light lights and make sound? ad by Wikibuy s, most importantly "Check the manual" If you don't have one, search the web. Common reasons include:- Battery/supply voltage too low Battery/supply voltage too high Output current/power too high Battery/input current too high (as a result of excessive output loading) Inverter over temperature Output voltage, frequency etc might also be monitored. Whatever it means, it is indicating 'something' is not normal, and it requires investigation. Possibly the inverter has permanently failed; possible it is a temporary condition which can be corrected. Try disconnecting the load, try freshly charged batteries, try letting it rest & cool down etc. & see if the fault indication clears...

Connecting a motomaster 3000 watt power inverter to a stand alone battery

Some things to clarify:
Is the battery a 12volt or 24volt? I will assume a 12volt.
You should always have a fuse between the battery and the inverter. The fuse rating and wiring between the battery and your inverter depend upon the size of the load you will hook up to your inverter.
Inverters are usually NOT 100% efficient. Typically they are 80-90% efficient. If you run an inverter at rated load (your case 3000watts), you will most likely damage the inverter. If you run the 3000watt rated inverter at 500watts or less, you will have significant internal losses.
The capacity of the battery is important.
The type of battery is important (Flooded, Gel or GSM).
A 12volt battery is usually fully charged at 14 volts, but as it discharges, the voltage will drop. Batteries should not be operated at less than 11volts and most likely be damaged permanently if allowed to go below 10.5volts.
If a battery is rated at 100 amp/hours, that means it can supply 100 amps of current at 12volts for 1 hour, or 50 amps for 2 hours or 10 amps for 10 hours.
Now for the more important part. Assume your inverter is 80% efficient. 3000 x .8 = 2400. So the maximum load your inverter can safely handle is 2400watts. At 120volts you will be drawing about 20 amps of current at full load.
If you are going to draw full load, your battery must be able to supply the current to that inverter at an equivalent power rating (power out + power loss = power in). Therefore, 3000watts ÷ 12volts = 250 amps. If your load is only 1000watts (80%), load plus loss will be 1250watts, and therefore, the battery will need to supply 1250 ÷ 12volts = 104 amps. Why is this important? Because the wire between the battery and the inverter must be capable of carrying that current. And that becomes even more important, because if the wire carrying that current is undersized, it could start a fire. Also, with Direct Current, there is more of a loss than with Alternating Current. So if your battery is 20 feet from your inverter, it will incur twice the loss if it was only 10 feet away. You may have to use some very large gauge wire to satisfy the requirements.

What is meant by a meter fault on a solax solar inverter

I am not sure what inverter you are using as Solax makes many. Here is a link to their manual downloads: http://www.solaxpower.com/en/downloads-2/ . I suspect that you may have to reset the system, and maybe recalibrate things. The manual I looked at did not mention any meter fault per se, but that doesn't mean that it doesn't exist. Look at your manual and go to the troubleshooting section.
